The separating device has a tray arranged above the tube bundle which serves for collecting the liquid phase. The tray has a plurality of chimneys for separating the two phases. Each chimney projects from the tray from a side of the tray facing away from the tube bundle and is covered by a roof. An opening in the tray between the roof and an upper end of the respective chimney, there is provided an inlet opening via which the gaseous phase can flow into the respective chimney.
