Publication number: 20100021663Abstract: A synthetic fiber fabric for the manufacture of casings for sausages and other meat products consisting essentially of 100% synthetic fibers which are treated by alkalinization or if the synthetic fibers consist of an alkaline resistant material, by an acid solution so that the fabric fibers are modified to render the fabric absorptive to water and additional compounds such as flavor enhancers, smoke flavors, salts or others.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2009Publication date: January 28, 2010Inventor: Jürgen Thiele

Patent number: 7338302Abstract: A novel lamp socket finding application with a type of increased protection, has a housing part (13) in which a one-piece elastomer sealing sleeve (20) is preferably rotatably held. The sealing sleeve (20) is at its lamp-side end preferably slightly radially compressible, while it is stiffer in the axial direction. As a result, it yields inward when axially pressed by the frustoconical inner side of the housing part (13). The one-piece construction of the sealing sleeve (20) from a single material, on the one hand, ensures a simple manufacture and, on the other hand, prevents a faulty mounting caused by slipped seals or the like.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Assignee: Vossloh-Schwabe Deutschland GmbHInventors: Jürgen Thiele, Hans-Peter Mews

Patent number: 7168970Abstract: A holder (6), which is suitable in particular for luminaires which do not provide any direct manual access to the capped lighting means, has a slide by means of which the lamp cap and/or the contact pins thereof can be pushed out of the holder or at least released from the holder. In the case of a preferred embodiment, the holder housing (8) is designed in two parts, the housing part (9) being designed as the slide.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2003Date of Patent: January 30, 2007Assignee: Vossloh-Schwabe Deutschland GmbHInventors: Jürgen Thiele, Hans-Peter Mews

Patent number: 5479903Abstract: In a multicylinder internal combustion engine with cylinder banks arranged in the shape of a V wherein a single cam shaft is supported centrally within the V space between the cylinder banks and push rods are disposed in push rod guides formed alongside the two cylinder banks so as to be operable by the cam shaft for actuating inlet and outlet valves of associated cylinders via rocker arms, fuel injection pumps are supported in mounting openings formed into the cylinder banks along the sides thereof so as to be also operable by the cam shaft for the injection of fuel into the cylinders via injectors mounted to the cylinders, the push rods and the fuel pumps are also arranged in V-shaped rows along the cylinder banks and coolant channels extend along each cylinder bank between the cylinders and the fuel pumps wherein, a cross-sectional plane extending through a particular cylinder, the pump mounting openings, the coolant channels, the push rod guides and the associated cylinder are disposed in a fan-like arranType: GrantFiled: August 3, 1994Date of Patent: January 2, 1996Assignee: Mercedes-Benz AGInventors: Johannes Werner, Klaus-Jurgen Thiele, Emil Bauerle, Walter Kerschbaum, Peter Bauknecht

Patent number: 4869819Abstract: An improved process for the biomethanation of an organic substrate includes treating the substrate in a first reactor to form organic acid anions, passing an aqueous preparation containing dissolved organic anions through an ion exchanger so that the organic acid anions are adsorbed and separated from the remainder of the aqueous preparation, desorbing; the organic acid anions and passing the desorbed acids to a second reactor containing methanogenic bacteria which convert the acids to methane. In a preferred embodiment, a bicarbonate solution is produced in the second reactor and it is used to desorb the organic acid anions and regenerate the anion exchanger into the bicarbonate form. A preferred apparatus first and second reactors, and a pair of anion exchangers connected by tubing to both reactors also is disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1988Date of Patent: September 26, 1989Assignee: Michigan Biotechnology InstituteInventors: Jurgen Thiele, Joseph G. Zeikus

Patent number: 4748114Abstract: The invention relates to a test strip for taking of daily blood sugar profiles, and also for glucose determination in urine for determining the individual kidney threshold of a diabetic as a daily profile, which finds use in glucose diagnosis. The objective of the invention is to stabilize the test strip in its function and to adapt it to customary measuring instruments, and this is achieved by attaching a film reaction membrane to a carrier, wherein the membrane was post treated with a complexing agent and an acyclic hydroxyamine or amino derivative.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1985Date of Patent: May 31, 1988Assignee: VEB Arzneimittelwrk DresdenInventors: Karl-Heinz Kallies, Dieter Plaschnick, Peter Mohr, Hans-Jurgen Thiele, Conrad J.
