Abstract: Manufacturing decorative panels by using a web-fed inkjet printer. During the feeding of the to-be-printed substrate, the tension of the substrate is controlled by a dancer unit (720) which includes a dancer roll (200), having a connector (120) on both side ends of said roll, and wherein both connectors (120) are connected to a pair of parallel guiders (110) for floating said roll along a floating path (210); and wherein the step of controlling comprises the step of moving one guider (110) of said pair of guiders (110) parallel to said floating path (210) whereby the dancer roll (200) is tilted.

Abstract: An inkjet printing method on natural leather by a digital leather printer includes providing a hide, having an edge, on a rigid support for obtaining a flat decoration area of the hide; fastening the hide to the rigid support by clamping the edge; and jetting with an inkjet printhead unit, facing a side of the flat decoration area, a decorative image on the flat decoration area of the fastened hide; wherein the edge is clamped opposite to the side of the flat decoration area.

Abstract: An inkjet printing device includes a transport system for transporting a rigid multilayered substrate in a print direction and a support plane; a dryer, attached to a first gantry which is positioned over the transport system and perpendicular to the print direction, for immobilizing a jetted ink layer in a drying zone; and a push down mechanism for the rigid multilayered substrate against the transport system, arranged at least in the drying zone. The push down mechanism includes a bar which is positioned parallel and elongated to the print direction and mounted parallel to the support plane above the transport system. The bar is maintained on a second and third gantry by a maintainer on each gantry and positioned over the transport system at each side of the first gantry and perpendicular to the print direction.
