Abstract: An actuating unit for an electromechanically operable disc brake for automotive vehicles including a driving unit or an electric motor, an actuating element secured against rotation and causing one of two friction linings that are arranged slidably in a brake caliper to move into engagement with a brake disc, as well as a reducing gear interposed between the electric motor and the actuating element. To ensure the testability of the reducing gear, the present invention includes an anti-rotation mechanism of the actuating element be arranged in a gearbox casing accommodating the reducing gear.

Abstract: The invention relates to a ball screw comprising a threaded nut, a threaded spindle, supporting rolling bodies, which are provided in the form of balls rotating inside thread grooves of the threaded nut as well as of the threaded spindle, and comprising a return area for the balls. In order to considerably reduce the manufacturing costs, especially by a non-cutting fabrication of the threaded nut, and to obtain a higher power density by homogenizing the contact area percentage of the ball screw, the threaded nut is comprised of a helically wound profile material according to the invention. The invention relates to a ball screw comprising a threaded nut (2), a threaded spindle (1), supporting rolling bodies (3), which are provided in the form of balls rotating inside thread grooves (5,4) of the threaded nut (2) as well as of the threaded spindle (1), and comprising a return area (6) for the balls (3).

Abstract: So-called butterfly latches are known, by way of which containers, pallets or similar items of freight can be secured within the cargo area of an aircraft. These comprise a frame that can be attached to holding rails on the floor of the cargo area. In the present latch, in the frame is disposed a double latch hook comprising two arms that are hinged to one another at first ends and at these first ends are provided with hook elements so constructed as to engage and retain items of cargo. At second ends the arms are mounted in the frame so that they can move in a plane of rotation in such a way that when they are struck by an item of cargo travelling in a first horizontal direction parallel to the plane of rotation, the first ends of the arms are deflected downward from an upper operating position toward the frame.
