Abstract: Provided is a low odor hair conditioning composition which is free of oily and greasy feel upon finish, and can impart good manageability and moisturized feel. Specifically provided is a hair conditioning composition including a component (A): a compound represented by a general formula (1) R1O—(PO)n/(EO)m—R2 (1), where R1 represents a straight or branched, alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 12 carbon atoms, PO represents a propyleneoxy group, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, an average addition mole number “n” represents a number of 1.5 to 3.0, an average addition mole number “m” represents a number of 0 to 1.0, and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and a component (B): a surfactant other than the component (A), wherein a content of R1OH, where R1 represents a straight or branched, alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 12 carbon atoms, is 80 ppm or less.

Abstract: A fiber treatment agent composition comprising an amphipathic lipid having hydroxyl group(s) and amide group(s) in the molecule thereof, the lipid being solid particles having an average particle size of 1 to 100 ?m. The fiber treated with the fiber treatment agent composition of the invention provides excellent feeling to the resultant textile and pleasant feel to the skin. When a consumer wears the fiber product produced from the thus-treated fiber, remarkable effects are attained, including pleasant feel to the skin with which the fiber product is brought into contact, skin protective effect, effect of enabling the people having sensitive skin to wear at ease, moisturizing effect, and effect of improving skin disease such as rough skin.

Abstract: Described in the present invention are a dispersion which comprises, as a dispersoid, (a) 5 to 40 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid containing, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group, and (b) 2 to 55 wt. % of a surfactant in an aqueous medium; a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising the dispersion; and a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising (A) 0.01 to 10 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid which contains, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group and having a melting point not less than 30° C. and (B) 5 to 95 wt. % of a surfactant. The dispersion according to the present invention is useful as a component of a washing-away type cosmetic composition having both an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and low skin irritation.

The dispersion according to the present invention is useful as a component of a washing-away type cosmetic composition having both an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and low skin irritation.

Abstract: A germicidal-disinfectant detergent composition comprising (a) a cationic germicide, (b) a metal chelating agent and (c) at least one surfactant selected from anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric surfactants is described. Excellent detergency and germicidal action are provided.

Abstract: A germicidal composition comprising: i) a compound of formula (1): ##STR1## wherein at least one of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 represents a linear or branched C.sub.8-30 alkyl or alkenyl group and the remaining groups are the same or different and individually represent a methyl, ethyl or benzyl group; R.sup.4 represents a methyl or ethyl group; R.sup.5 represents a linear or branched C.sub.1-30 alkyl or alkenyl group, or a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether or polyoxyalkylene alkenyl ether having a linear or branched C.sub.1-30 alkyl or alkenyl group; and M represents a hydrogen atom or an alkali metal atom; andii) a compound of formula (2): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 have the same meanings as defined above and R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are the same or different and individually have the same meanings as R.sup.5, wherein the weight ratio of compound (1) to compound (2) is from 99:1 to 80:20.
