  • Patent number: 4829965
Abstract: An injection valve for a single suction pipe injection in the case of mixture-compressing internal-combustion engines on the ejection side by an insertion connection by means of a nozzle part is held in a wall breakthrough of the suction pipe, having a rubber elastic O-ring located in-between. In order to avoid damage to the O-ring, when the injection valve is inserted, at the processing edges of the wall breakthrough, a centering device is arranged in the free end area of the nozzle part. Preferably, the centering device is developed at a protective cap that can be arranged in the free end area of the nozzle piece.

  • Patent number: 4647012
Abstract: An injection valve for a mixture-compressing internal combustion engines which is retained in the mounting bore in the suction pipe by way of a sealing ring. In order not to damage the sealing ring during the insertion of the injection valve into the mounting bore of the suction pipe, an axially displaceable sleeve is proposed according to the invention which slides on a cylindrical section of the injection valve. The sleeve includes a conical forward section that surrounds the sealing ring. During the installation of the injection valve, the sleeve is supported at the walls of the suction pipe and guides the sealing ring into the mounting bore without contact with the edges of the mounting bore.

  • Patent number: 4474160
Abstract: A fuel injection system for internal combustion engines comprises a distributing conduit made up of two shaped parts i.e., a top section 4 and bottom section, joined together in a longitudinal plane by flanges. Several injection valves are connected to the distributing conduit by pairs of coupling bushings and coupling nipples. The flanges are integrally formed with both shaped parts of the distributing conduit at right angles to the axes of symmetry of the injection valves, and the coupling bushings are integrally formed with one of the two shaped parts in the direction of these axes of symmetry.

  • Patent number: 4328854
Abstract: A casting core for an intake pipe assembly for an in-line four to six cylinder internal combustion engine. Core parts for each two similar individual intake pipes form, together with the core parts for the intermediate part of the intake manifold, an integral core segment. The core segments are permanently connected to one another in a vicinity of their core parts for the intake manifold.

  • Patent number: 4228769
Abstract: An intake-pipe assembly is provided for use with internal combustion engines of the type including four to six cylinders arranged in line. The intake assembly includes an intake manifold and a plurality of intake pipes opening into respective opposite sides of the intake manifold and extending to engine inlet channel means. The intake pipes are configured so as to have substantially equal lengths and so as to extend from openings at one plane at the manifold to openings at the engine inlet channel means in a plane at right angles to the manifold connection plane. In order to optimize the utilization of space while also optimizing and maximizing the radius of curvature of the intake pipes, the pipes are arranged with intermediate curved segments which overlap one another and extend in respective planes which intersect with one another in the vicinity of a common intersection area for the intermediate curved segments and connecting end portions leading therefrom to the engine inlet channel.

  • Patent number: 4186695
Abstract: An intake pipe arrangement for internal combustions is provided which includes an intake manifold and intake pipes arranged symmetrically pairwise at opposite sides thereof. In order to reduce the mutual vibrational influence of the intake pipes, the intake pipes are connected at the intake manifold with the end segments of the intake pipes approaching the intake manifold extending diagonally with respect to one another so that their imaginary extensions intersect in the intake manifold.
