Patents by Inventor Jury I. Sakharov

Jury I. Sakharov has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 5197473
Abstract: A ball falls freely onto an eyelid-covered cornea, and the kinetic energy of the ball is conversed into a force causing deformation of the cornea. The amount of the ball rebound varies depending on the amount of intraocular pressure and the latter is judged against the amount of the ball rebound. An ocular tonometer has a tubular housing, wherein provision is made for a free falling of the ball kept by a special holder at one of the ends of the housing. The opposite end of the housing is placed on the eyelid so that the falling ball interacts with the cornea through the eyelid. The amount of the ball rebound characteristic of the amount of intraocular pressure, is registered either with the aid of a scale or by a special measuring instrument.

  • Patent number: 4771784
Abstract: An ophthalmorheographic transducer has a two-layer casing with a space defined between the layers and communicating with a vacuum source. The inner layer is shaped so as to suit the eyeball, is provided with electrodes and has a plurality of openings.

  • Patent number: 4766904
Abstract: An applanation tonometer comprises a housing, a rod accommodated in the housing and carrying a contact disk adapted to interact with the corneal surface in order to exert force thereon, a unit for measuring the force applied to the cornea, a means for registering the instant of time when the diameter of an applanation circle on the corneal surface formed due to the effect of a force applied thereto reaches a preset value, and a recording unit. The registering means is made as a sleeve arranged coaxially with the rod carrying the contact disk and traversably along the rod axis, and a contact set electrically connected to the recording unit and mechanically associated with the traversable sleeve. An additional sleeve is traversable, set coaxially with the traversable sleeve of the registering means, and the end of said additional sleeve is concave-shaped.

  • Patent number: 4759370
Abstract: The ophthalmotonometer of the invention comprises a frequency-output transducer of linear motions which correspond to intraocular pressure; a reference-frequency generator; a frequency comparator whose inputs are connected to the outputs of the frequency-output transducer and of the reference-frequency generator, a difference-frequency divider connected to outputs of the frequency comparator; a circuit for measurement of the cycle of difference-frequency oscillations connected to outputs of the reference frequency generator and the frequency divider, said cycle corresponding to intraocular pressure in millimeters of mercury; and a measurement results registration circuit connected to outputs of the cycle measurement circuit.
