Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for causing battery information, such as use time and/or recharging time estimation and/or battery condition estimation, to be provided based upon data regarding battery performance that has been collected from a plurality of devices. In the context of a method, a request for battery information may be received. The request includes an identification of a device type, and the battery information includes at least one of a use time estimate or a recharging time estimate. The method may also determine the battery information that was requested based upon data regarding at least one of use time or recharging time for a plurality of different devices of the device type. The method may also cause the battery information to be provided. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for providing consumption information for respective ones of a plurality of software applications that are offered to consumers, such as from an application store or a social networking site. One method includes causing a plurality of software applications to be offered to consumers and causing consumption information for respective ones of the plurality of software applications to be retrieved. The consumption information may include information regarding at least one energy-related parameter. The method may also cause generation of a graphical representation of the consumption information for the respective software applications.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing intelligent updates of emission values may include a processor. The processor may be configured to send a user context to request updated emission values associated with the user context. The processor may be further configured to receive the requested emission values associated with the user context and update current emission values with the received emission values. The processor may be additionally configured to provide for an output of the updated emission values. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.
