  • Publication number: 20120039721
Abstract: The invention relates to a turbine-type high-power impeller, to be used for mixing slurry in hydrometallurgical process reactors. The impeller is formed of at least five blades, each of which blades comprises a front edge, trailing edge, root and tip; the roots of the impeller blades are permanently attached by a joint to the hub or axis of the impeller, so that the front edge of the impeller blade is straight, and the trailing edge is chamfered, in which case the blade is narrowed towards the tip, and the blade is provided with two longitudinal folds arranged in parallel with the front edge of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20110297606
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a method for fabricating the discharge end (2) chute arrangement (3) of a liquid-liquid extraction settling tank and the corresponding chute arrangement. The chute arrangement (3) comprises at least one chute member (4, 5; 6), which is made of fibre-reinforced plastic composite. The chute member (4, 5; 6) is manufactured by the filament winding technique essentially making a tubular hollow piece.

  • Patent number: 7731853
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and equipment with which an organic solution extraction solution is purified from entrainment of aqueous solution and impurities during hydrometallurgical liquid-liquid extraction. The method treats an organic extraction solution, which is loaded with a valuable metal or valuable substance from the aqueous solution. The purpose is to carry out the physical separation of water droplets and the chemical removal of impurities from the organic extraction solution simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20090025903
Abstract: The invention relates to cooling equipment for cooling liquid, comprising a cooling tower that is mainly cylindrical in the vertical direction, in which case the cooling air feed equipment and the exhaust air discharge equipment are arranged, with respect to the cooling tower, so that both the cooling air flowing direction from the inlet aperture to the cooling space and the exhaust air flowing direction from the discharge equipment is horizontal and parallel to the tangent of the outer surface of the cooling tower. The invention also relates to a method for cooling liquid.
