  • Publication number: 20240127640
Abstract: A system and method for visually warning a person of a dangerous condition related to the proximity of the person to a machine is provided. The system includes a transmitter system located on the machine, a locator for being carried by the person, an algorithm performed at the transmitter for determining coordinates of the locator relative to the transmitter system, data input into the controller defining one or more safety zones around the machine, a warning indicator for generating a signal when the locator enters any of the one or more safety zones, and a lamp associated with the person. The lamp may be a spot lamp for illuminating the area around the person, and it may also include one or more warning lamps associated with the warning indicator such that the one or more warning lamps are illuminated when the locator enters either of the safety zones.

  • Patent number: 11914759
Abstract: Examples of augmented reality (AR) environment control advantageously employ multi-factor intention determination and include: performing a multi-factor intention determination for summoning a control object (e.g., a menu, a keyboard, or an input panel) using a set of indications in an AR environment, the set of indications comprising a plurality of indications (e.g., two or more of a palm-facing gesture, an eye gaze, a head gaze, and a finger position simultaneously); and based on at least the set of indications indicating a summoning request by a user, displaying the control object in a position proximate to the user in the AR environment (e.g., docked to a hand of the user). Some examples continue displaying the control object while at least one indication remains, and continue displaying the control object during a timer period if one of the indications is lost.

  • Patent number: 11093323
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for reducing the time required to read and write data to memory. Data reads and/or writes can be delayed when error correction code (ECC) bits, which are used to detect and/or correct data corruption, are written to memory. Writing ECC bits can take longer in some instances than writing data bits because an ECC write may involve a read/modify/write operation, as opposed to just simply writing the bits to memory. Some latencies associated with writing ECC bits can be hidden by interleaving ECC writes with data writes. However, if insufficient data writes are available for interleaving, hiding such latencies become difficult. Thus, various techniques are disclosed, for example, where ECC writes are deferred until a sufficient number of data writes become available for interleaving. By interleaving ECC writes, the disclosed techniques decrease the overall time required to read and write data to memory.

  • Patent number: 10764071
Abstract: A chainable Power over Ethernet Node (CPEN) is provided according to the invention. The CPEN contains an electronic circuit and control method to pass power, communications, or both power and communications to subsequent chainable nodes or other devices. The invention allows one cable run to serve a plurality of chainable nodes thus greatly reducing the amount of cable required. The invention enables redundant connections in both power and communications to network nodes to prevent failure in case of cable or node fault. The chainable node has 2 or more ports, all of which are interchangeable. Any port can respond to PoE Powered Device (PD) classification and receive power. Any port can act as a Power Supplying Equipment (PSE) to enable power to subsequent nodes. The ports can support standards compliant PoE detection, classification, and operation, and can support non-standard variations.

  • Publication number: 20190080537
Abstract: A system is provided for use in an industrial loading dock wherein the location of an industrial vehicle is detected and tracked in real-time, and one or more safety zones are created such that a computer or microcontroller triggers a response in the industrial vehicle upon the vehicle's entry into each such zone. The system includes a plurality of anchor radio transceivers positioned in proximity to a workspace. Each anchor radio transceiver is positioned in a known location such that the plurality of anchor radio transceivers form a fixed array of anchor radio transceivers. At least one mobile radio transceiver associated with a mobile industrial vehicle is also provided. The mobile radio transceiver is configured to exchange data packets of information with one or more of the plurality of anchor radio transceivers. A computer is provided that is in communication with the fixed array of radio transceivers.

  • Patent number: 8071898
Abstract: A switching device, in particular a circuit breaker, is disclosed including a switching shaft for mounting a rotary contact link. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, the rotary contact link has at least one groove-shaped longitudinal cutout, arranged within and along the transversely running cutout in relation to the switching shaft. Two grooves, which are arranged radially opposite one another, with in each case a bend or arcuate profile are provided in the cutout of the switching shaft, the respective two ends of the grooves being positioned radially further outward than the respective central region thereof. In each case one groove is connected to the at least one groove-shaped longitudinal cutout via a transverse bolt guided there between. At least one prestressed spring element is provided which pushes the respective transverse bolt radially outward.

  • Publication number: 20090057112
Abstract: A switching device, in particular a circuit breaker, is disclosed including a switching shaft for mounting a rotary contact link with two switching contacts and a pair of fixed contacts, which pair interacts with the rotary contact link, for connection to in each case one current path. The fixed contacts and the current paths are designed in such a way that the rotary contact link is rotated from a closed position in the direction of an open position in the event of an overcurrent or a short circuit. The switching shaft has a transversely running cutout for mounting the rotary contact link, which protrudes on both sides out of the switching shaft. The rotary contact link is connected, via at least one spring element, to the switching shaft for applying a contact force in the closed position and for the rotary contact link to remain in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20080006343
Abstract: The electric trim saw is unique because of the way it cuts. The electric motor is mounted on a two way slide, the slides allow the saw to follow the exact contour of any piece of trim (Baseboard, Chair rail Etc.) the guide tip has a fine point with a tiny ball bearing kind of like a ball point pen. This tip is on the same plane as the cutting bit therefore the bit cuts the board on the base plate with the exact same contour as the scrap piece in the clamp. The clamp holds the scrap piece in line and in place while the cuts are being made.
