The human target potentially having a weapon is swept with multiple wavelengths of Terahertz laser beams and the reflected return radiation is detected and transformed into a composite image gradated by brightness or color to represent gradations in intensity of the returned radiation indicative of possible weapon(s) or the absence thereof.
