Abstract: A display server automatically determines layouts of display walls. The display server receives one or more setup messages from a display wall and assigns one or more universal resource locators (URLs) to one or more display screens in the display wall based on the setup messages. The display server sends one or more webpages including different patterns to display on the display screens in the display wall and receives back display information showing the patterns displayed on the display screens. The display server then generates a configuration file identifying an arrangement of display regions in the display wall based on the display information. The display server also may operate a content manager that accesses the configuration file to identify the layouts for the different display walls and identify storyboards with similar layouts.

The configuration methods incorporated into the services include interactive configuration, dynamic reconfiguration, and auto-configuration.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for enabling advanced visualization techniques for conveying analytics information to a user. For the presentation of analytics data within a natural language statement or series of statements, a template is stored in a template database and includes natural language statements with data fields embedded within the statements. The data fields are populated with the appropriate analytics data such that the resulting reporting statement reads like a conversational statement of data and trends. Other advanced data visualizations of analytics helps one to quickly understand changes in key metrics for an entire account, compare the performance of reports across profiles, plot RSS feed events against metrics, and easily share data with others in ones organization.
