Abstract: A system and method for displaying an advertisement in conjunction with a display of a video on a computer monitor. The system includes at least one server and a client computer that are in communication via a network. The client computer has a monitor. The server is configured to receive a request for a download of a video from the client computer and, in response, to download the video and the one or more advertisements to the client computer. When a user causes the client computer to display the received video, the one or more advertisements is displayed as an overlay with respect to a portion of the video being displayed and at a predetermined time with respect to the beginning of the display of the video. The server may be further configured to track impressions and/or click-throughs relating to the display of the one or more advertisements.
