Abstract: A receiving device to maintain a book in an open position is provided. The receiving device comprises a base and an arm pivotally coupled with the base such that a book may be placed between the base and the arm, said arm retaining the pages on one side of the book in an open position while maintaining the pages on a second side of the book in a relatively flat plane to permit the reader to access the pages on the second side.
