  • Patent number: 11983969
Abstract: Systems and methods for modeling electric vehicle towing are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining that a trailer is connected to a vehicle, generating a surface mapping of the trailer based on output of a sensor assembly of the vehicle, predicting a drag coefficient of the trailer based on the surface mapping, estimating a drag force based on the drag coefficient and the surface mapping, calculating an estimated range for the vehicle based on the drag force, and displaying the estimated range on a human machine interface of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240105177
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a local assistant system responding to voice input using an ear-wearable device. The system detects a wake-up signal and receives a first voice input communicating a first query content. The system includes speech recognition circuitry to determine the first query content, speech generation circuitry, and an input database of locally-handled user inputs. If the first audio input matches one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system takes a local responsive action. If the first audio input does not match one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system transmits at least a portion of the first query content over a wireless network to a network resource.

  • Publication number: 20240077467
Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that leverage plugin modules supplemented by machine learning to create a robust and adaptable forensic investigation tool that obtains data from one or more data sources, separates the data into smaller units of data (e.g., deconstructs the data into its smallest logical data items/fields) determines common data types within the smaller units, creates “edges” that match data from the one or more data sources with data already in the system, then determines potentially overlapping clusters of information to identify potential connections between investigations and displays the information on a display in link form or grid form.

  • Publication number: 20240078291
Abstract: Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that create an improved forensic investigation graph. Nodes of connected data are clustered according to a maximal nearest neighbor algorithm to create maximal nearest neighbor clusters. A first node of data is directly connected to at least a second node of data and indirectly connected to a third node of data through the second node. The nearest neighbor includes only sets of nodes that are directly connected. A cluster of data includes combinations of connected nodes. A cluster of nearest neighbors only includes combinations of nodes that are directly connected to each other. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters are created by determining all clusters or nearest neighbors and removing all nearest neighbor clusters that are subsets of another nearest neighbor cluster. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters re then displayed on a display. The maximal nearest neighbor clusters represent data acquired in the performance of a forensic investigation.

  • Publication number: 20240018074
Abstract: Two methods for reducing CFC impurities and, in particular, CFC-114, in the HFO-1234ze(E) production process from the reaction of CFC-113 and HF. The first method involves subjecting an intermediate or recycle stream to separation and distillation to purge CFC-113 from the process. The second method involves operating the separation at a higher pressure avoids the formation of an azeotrope between CFC-113 and HFC-245fa. The CFC-113/HFC245fa azeotrope is discussed, as well as other optional processes for removal or mitigation of CFC-113 which include further separations that remove CFC-114 from the HFO-1234ze(E) product and/or CFC-113 from the HFC-245fa feed to produce an HFO-1234ze(E) product that is largely free from CFC-114 and other CFC impurities.

  • Patent number: 7205992
Abstract: The invention provides a method of mapping into tessellating triangles an area from a set of sample point spaced over the area. First, each point is connected to every other point to create a group of lines. Then the number of intersections of each line is counted. The line or lines with the greatest number of intersections is removed from the group. The counting and line removal steps are repeated until the group is confined to lines with no intersections, these lines defining triangles. The invention has particular application to the division into triangles of an area served by a wireless LAN, in order to display the variation of a radio signal parameter across the area.

  • Publication number: 20030152037
Abstract: The invention provides a method of determining the stability of a signal parameter (such as throughput) in data transmitted in a wireless LAN. A plurality of values of the parameter are detected over a predetermined time and an average value calculated. The difference between the average value and each of the plurality of values is then determined. The modulus values of the differences are summed and divided by the number in the plurality to obtain a figure representative of stability.

  • Publication number: 20030152033
Abstract: The invention provides a method of determining the effectiveness of radio communication over an area covered by a wireless LAN. A value of a signal parameter, such as stability or throughput, is detected at each of a plurality of sample points spaced over the area.
