  • Patent number: 11582711
Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and program products for enhancing structure walkthroughs are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method includes: monitoring a current location of an interested party (IP) device utilizing data collected by the IP device during a walkthrough of a structure having a structure representative (SR); detecting, based on the current location of the IP device, when the IP device is brought into proximity of a first SR-marked location included in a plurality of structure SR-marked locations; and in response to detecting that the IP device has been brought into proximity of the first SR-marked location, (i) identifying a first SR-created message corresponding to the first SR-marked location and contained in a location-referenced message set; and (ii) generating or causing generation of an SR message notification on the IP device, the SR message notification presenting or offering to present the first SR-created message to the interested party.

  • Patent number: 11019945
Abstract: Embodiments of a side sleeper pillow are provided having vented earholes and other features for comfortably supporting the head of a sleeper when laying on his or her side. In various embodiments, the side sleeper pillow includes a pillow body having an outer periphery, a primary head support surface, and a first vented earhole feature. The first vented earhole feature includes, in turn, a first earhole having a first opening formed in the primary head support surface, as well as a first vent channel at least partially formed in the pillow body. The first vent channel extends from the first earhole to the outer periphery of the pillow body to enable fluid communication between an ambient environment and the first earhole when covered by the head of the sleeper.

  • Patent number: 10660312
Abstract: Embodiments of an anti-pull collar attachment are provided. In one embodiment, the anti-pull collar attachment includes a collar attachment interface having a collar guideway through which a segment of an animal collar is routed to removably mount the collar attachment to the animal collar. A first prodding feature is coupled to the collar attachment interface and, when the anti-pull collar attachment is removably mounted to the animal collar, is positioned beneath the segment of the animal collar. The prodding feature engages into an animal wearing the animal collar when a pull force is exerted on the collar. In certain implementations, the anti-pull collar attachment further includes a frame coupled to the collar attachment interface, as well as a movable platform slidable with respect to the frame along a prodding axis. The first prodding feature projects from the movable platform and moves in conjunction therewith along the prodding axis.

  • Patent number: 10575665
Abstract: Embodiments of an orthopedic pillow are provided for supporting the head of a sleeper in a supine position. In one embodiment, the orthopedic pillow includes a base having a centerline, a primary head support surface provided on the base, and laterally-opposed side rails extending upwardly from the base and flanking the primary head support surface. The laterally-opposed side rails include, in turn, interior portions and reinforcement portions. The interior portions are located adjacent the primary head support surface and each formed from a first material having a first stiffness, such as a molded foam having a first density. The reinforcement portions are located outboard of the interior portions, as taken along a lateral axis perpendicular to the centerline. The reinforcement portions formed from a second material having a second stiffness greater than the first stiffness, such as a molded foam having a second density greater than the density.

  • Patent number: 9537266
Abstract: Power strips are provided having voice message playback capabilities, which enable a user to selectively playback stored voice messages or verbal memorandum identifying the particular electronic devices plugged into the power strip outlets. In this manner, a user need only trigger playback of a voice message to determine the identity of an electronic device plugged into a given outlet. This may be particularly beneficial when several electronic devices are plugged into the power strip, which is located underneath a desk, behind an entertainment center, or in another difficult-to-access area. In certain embodiments, the power strip enables the user to record personalized voice messages identifying the electronic devices plugged into the power strip outlets, possibly along with additional information pertaining to the plugged-in devices and considered pertinent by the user. Embodiments of the power strips described herein may also be beneficially used by the blind and visually impaired.

  • Patent number: 8715142
Abstract: Embodiments of a user-adjustable resistance mechanism, and embodiments of an exercise apparatus employing such a user-adjustable resistance mechanism, are provided. In one embodiment, the exercise apparatus includes a support structure, a user-manipulated element movably coupled to the support structure and configured to be moved by a user during the performance of an exercise in opposition to an output resistance, and a user-adjustable resistance mechanism. The user-adjustable resistance mechanism includes, in turn, an input resistance assembly and a lever assembly comprising a first plurality of levers rotatably coupled in series between the user-manipulated element and the support structure. The input resistance assembly is configured to be selectively coupled by a user to the lever assembly at any one of a plurality of locations to determine the cumulative load arm length of the first plurality of levers and the output resistance opposing movement of the user-manipulated element.
