  • Publication number: 20240081650
Abstract: An optical coherence tomography scanning system traverses its respective scan pattern quickly, typically completing an entire two-dimensional frame faster than a conventional raster scanner completes one raster line segment. To traverse the scan pattern quickly, the system takes fewer A-scans per length of scan pattern than a conventional OCT scanner. To compensate for the sparsity of the sample points along the respective scan line segments, and for gaps between respective line segments of the trajectory, the system acquires and combines several partially overlapping frames for each study.

  • Patent number: 11146289
Abstract: Examples include techniques to use intrinsic information when implementing a bit-flipping algorithm. An error correction control (ECC) decoder uses the intrinsic information to decode a low density parity count (LDPC) codeword. The intrinsic information including bits of a copy of a received LDPC codeword are compared to bits for variable nodes during an iteration of the bit-flipping algorithm to aid a determination as whether one or more bits for the variable nodes are to be flipped.

Date of Patent: October 12, 2021
    Assignee: Intel Corporation

  • Patent number: 8433194
Abstract: A PON in which parallel optical fiber paths are provided between dual OLTs and the ONTs, one of the optical fiber paths providing an active connection and the other optical fiber path providing a standby connection. Respective VLANs may be formed over the parallel optical fiber paths. If performance indicators, for example Ethernet continuity check messages, indicate that an ONT is no longer in communication with the OLT then data may be sent via the VLAN associated with the standby connection.
