  • Patent number: 11733722
Abstract: A control system having a first pressure regulator, a downstream fluid control device, first pilot, and second pilot. The first pressure regulator has a fluid inlet, fluid outlet, and actuator assembly with a cavity divided into a first chamber and a second chamber. The downstream fluid control device has a second fluid inlet and a second fluid outlet. The first pilot has a first setpoint and the second pilot has a second setpoint, less than the first setpoint. The first and second pilots fluidly couple the second chamber to the second fluid outlet in a first mode of operation, isolate the second chamber from the second fluid outlet in a second mode of operation, and fluidly couple the second chamber to the fluid inlet in a third mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 11035479
Abstract: Circumferentially-sectioned valve cages are disclosed. An example apparatus comprises a plurality of cage sections collectively configured to be removably coupled together to form a valve cage having a circumference and a plurality of joints. The joints correspond in number to the cage sections and are spaced apart from one another about the circumference. Respective ones of the joints are defined by neighboring ones of the cage sections.

  • Patent number: 10268215
Abstract: A system for providing a force on a main valve member includes a first sensing element adapted to couple to a portion of the main valve member. A first loading element may be directly or indirectly coupled to the first sensing element such that the first loading element provides a first force on the first sensing element. The first loading element is adapted to transfer the first force to the first sensing element and the main valve member. The system also includes a second sensing element to the first sensing element. A second loading element is coupled to the second sensing element and the first sensing element. The second loading element is adapted to provide a second force on the second sensing element to transfer the second force to the main valve member.

  • Patent number: 9541925
Abstract: A fluid regulating device includes a regulator valve having an inlet, an outlet, and a valve port disposed between the inlet and the outlet. An actuator is coupled to the regulator valve and includes a valve disc that displaces between a closed position and an open position. The device also includes an overpressure protection device adapted to stop flow from the inlet to the outlet when pressure in a control cavity reaches a predetermined level. The overpressure protection device includes a sensing tube having a first end in fluid communication with the control cavity and a second end in fluid communication with the outlet. The sensing tube has a first portion extending parallel to the flow axis. One or more apertures are disposed in the sensing tube adjacent to the second end, and each of the apertures has a centerline that is perpendicular to the flow axis.
