Date of Patent: February 27, 2024
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.
Inventors: Thaddeus Wleklinski, III, Walter Belchine, III, Justin L. Ruzich
  • Patent number: 11293204
Abstract: An improved door handle assembly (10) having an integral sound dampening flap feature. The integral sound dampening flap feature incorporates an integrated dual hinged flap (52). This dual hinged flap (52) dampens vibration while adjusting to vertical movement and eliminating the need for any pivot pin or other retaining component.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 6, 2016
Date of Patent: April 5, 2022
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.
Inventors: Mehmet Acunal, Walter Belchine, III, Justin L. Ruzich
  • Patent number: 11046227
Abstract: Assist grip assembly (100) includes a user handle (102) and an object hook (104) movably coupled to each other. The object hook (104) and the user handle (102) may be movably coupled to one another through a pivot-control mechanism. The user handle (102) and the object hook (104) are capable of moving together and capable of moving independently with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 8677569
Abstract: A grab handle assembly with integrated articulating hook is disclosed comprising base elements and a handle pivotal on the base elements between closed and an open positions. A pivot pin is fixed to the handle and pivotally supported on a base element. A hook is pivotally supported on the pivot pin and is movable between a stored and a deployed position. In one form a resilient finger on the hook coacts with surfaces on the pivot pin to provide resistance to movement of the hook between the stored and deployed positions. The pin is configured to provide varied resistance at different hook positions.
