Abstract: A lighted rod apparatus comprising a power unit having at least one switch, and least one power source, an elongated shaft having a leading end, a tail end, an elongated section between the ends, the section including at least a rigidly flexible shaft, and a passage defined within the section, at least one light source electrically connected to the power unit and adapted to externally illuminate substantially all of the section and a tip, whereby the lighted rod can be easily shaped to a desired form to illuminate difficult areas and can be manipulated to penetrate areas difficult to illuminate.
