Abstract: In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: receiving, at a processor, a blocked airspace request from a utilizing organization (UO), the blocked airspace request identifying airspace; filtering, by the processor, the blocked airspace request using a cross-domain guard; transmitting, by the processor, the filtered blocked airspace request to a data sharing platform for authorization; storing, by the processor, the blocked airspace request in a database; receiving, by the processor, a network message from a flight planning system, the network message including at least one flight path; and providing, by the processor, a status of the blocked airspace in response to the network message.

Abstract: In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: receiving, by a processor, blocked airspace description data; converting, by a processor, a flight path into a plurality of latitude-longitude pairs; expanding, by the processor, the blocked airspace description data into a plurality of potential blocked airspace sub-regions, each of the potential blocked airspace sub-regions including a geographical area; identifying, by the processor, a subset of the potential blocked airspace sub-regions based on comparing flight steps between respective latitude-longitude pairs and geographic areas of the potential blocked airspace sub-regions; and using, by the processor, the subset of the potential block airspace sub-regions to adjust the flight path.

Abstract: Disclosed are bag check machines, including related methods, apparatus, and systems, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for allowing a user to self-check one or more items for transportation. The user is first enrolled in a self-check program by reading personal ID information from a government-issued identification (ID) document and verifying the ID document based on the personal ID information. Biometric data from the user is captured and stored, in an encoded form, on a portable ID storage medium issued to the user. For the user to self-check one or more items, encoded biometric data is read from the portable ID storage medium, and biometric data is captured from the user. When the captured biometric data matches the biometric data read from the portable ID storage medium, the user is authorized to check-in the item or items.
