Abstract: A frangible detent pin comprising a base a pin head and an elastic member. The base is configured to be secured within a bore. The pin head and the base are interconnected through a frangible connection. The elastic member is configured to bias the pin head away from the base. The frangible detent pin has a rigid stage in which the pin head is rigidly positioned relative to the base and a spring-loaded stage in which the pin head is moveable relative to the base under a compression load between pin head and the base. The frangible detent pin is configured to transition from the rigid stage to the spring-loaded stage in response to the compression load exceeding a predetermined threshold sufficient to cause the frangible connection to fail.

Abstract: A stuffed toy for use with a child car seat positioned in an automobile includes a body portion containing a padded material. The stuffed toy includes a first appendage coupled to and extending away from an exterior surface of the body portion. A second appendage is spaced apart from the first appendage and also coupled to and extending away from the body portion. A first fastener is coupled to the first appendage that is movable between a secured configuration tightly adjacent the first appendage and a released configuration displaced therefrom. The first fastener is configured to selectively receive the shoulder safety belt and is coupled thereto when the first fastener is in the secured configuration so as to position the body portion frontwardly adjacent the child car seat. A second fastener is coupled to the second appendage and operable in the same manner as the first fastener.

Abstract: VDCC ?-8 polypeptides comprising the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 3, SEQ ID NO. 5 or SEQ ID NO: 7, and homologues, variants and derivatives thereof are provided. Nucleic acids capable of encoding VDCC ?-8 polypeptide are also disclosed, in particular, those comprising the nucleic acid sequences shown in SEQ ID No. 1, SEQ ID No. 2, SEQ ID NO. 4 or SEQ ID NO: 6. These polypeptides and polynucleotides are implicated in mental illness and are useful in screening for therapeutic agents useful in treating mental illness.

Abstract: We disclose GPR146 G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) polypeptides comprising the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 3 or SEQ ID NO: 5, and homologues, variants and derivatives thereof. Nucleic acids capable of encoding GPR146 polypeptide are also disclosed, in particular, those comprising the nucleic acid sequences shown in SEQ ID No. 1A, SEQ ID No.1 B, SEQ ID No.2 or SEQ ID NO: 4. The GPR146 receptor is useful in the diagnosis and therapy of dyslipidaemias.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for monitoring mobile computing devices configured for operation in a home network. Mobile user data are accumulated which relate to operation of each of the mobile computing devices on at least one remote network which does not include any part of the home network. A representation is generated of the mobile user data for each of the mobile computing devices which is capable of being presented in a network operations center (NOC) interface substantially in real time.
