  • Patent number: 12352150
Abstract: A separator in a wellbore for separating liquid and gas in a petroleum production stream is described. The separator is formed by an outer tube defining an outer conduit extending from a lower end to an upper end of the outer tube. An inner tube is positioned concentrically within the outer tube, wherein the inner tube defines an inner conduit extending from a lower end to an upper end of the inner tube. The inner conduit includes a cap at its lower end and a plurality of openings connecting the outer conduit and the inner conduit. A helical auger extends between the inner tube and the outer tube, the helical auger defining a pathway between the outer tube and the inner tube such that the gas in the production stream passes through the openings in the inner tube while the fluid passes through the outer conduit to a pump.

  • Publication number: 20230304372
Abstract: A packer assembly for a production well is described. The packer assembly includes one or more packer elements set to engage and seal the inner surface of a well casing, where a production tube runs through the one or more packer elements and provides a fluid path to the surface. A chemical inlet above the one or more packer elements connects to a chemical flow path through the one or more packer elements and a chemical outlet below the packer assembly.

  • Patent number: 11434741
Abstract: A method of separating gas from a fluid mixture in a production stream of a well where the method includes using an outer tube and an inner tube positioned concentrically with the outer tube to separate gas and liquid from a mixture. The production stream is directed through the outer tube and into a space between a well casing of the well and the outer tube where gas in the production stream can separate from fluid in the production stream. The separated fluid is then directed through the inner tube to a pump.
