  • Publication number: 20140072674
Abstract: This invention discloses a leak proof disposable container, comprising of a bottom portion composed of expandable thermoplastic resin beads and a lidding film, for containing non-carbonated drinks or food products that do not require heating prior to consumption. The inventive container eliminates the use of polypropylene and polystyrene snap-on lids currently used for cups and containers. The snap-on lid is replaced with a thermoplastic lidding film, a leak proof seal is formed between the lidding film and upper flange of the bottom portion. Replacement of the snap-on lid with lidding film, reduces the weight of the disposable lidding material by 74 percent. Through the appropriate selection of materials, one can produce a leak proof container that is 100 percent recyclable under the #6 PS (polystyrene) symbol.

  • Patent number: 7874112
Abstract: Methods of constructing concrete walls that include placing a plurality of cleats along a wall perimeter, securing the cleats to a surface under the wall perimeter, placing a plurality of insulating concrete forms along the perimeter, and placing concrete into the insulating concrete forms to form the insulating concrete wall. The cleats include a base plate, a first vertical flange extending approximately perpendicular from the base plate, and a second vertical flange extending approximately parallel to the first vertical flange. The space defined by the first vertical flange, second vertical flange and the base plate, is adapted to receive a bottom portion of a form component or a bottom portion of a form. The insulating concrete forms are placed along the perimeter such that a bottom portion of the form components or a bottom portion of the form are press fit into the defined space.

  • Publication number: 20090202307
Abstract: A method of constructing a shallow pier foundation building that includes a) placing a plurality of insulating pier forms along a perimeter of the building; b) placing a plurality of insulating concrete forms between the insulating piers to form a continuous insulating surface to the surrounding soil and a continuous forming surface to provide a slab form; c) placing a concrete composition in the insulating piers and insulating concrete forms and allowing the concrete composition to cure and harden; and d) placing a concrete slab composition in the slab form and allowing the concrete composition to cure and harden.

  • Publication number: 20080066408
Abstract: A concrete wall forming system including interconnected mold units that include a top surface containing a first portion bond beam form, a first top ledge, a first top lip seal portion, a second top ledge, and a second top lip seal portion; a bottom surface containing a second portion bond beam form, a first bottom ledge, a first bottom lip seal portion, a second bottom ledge, and a second bottom lip seal portion; and two or more column forms extending from the top depression to the bottom depression. The first top lip seal portion and first bottom lip seal portion and second top lip seal portion and second bottom lip seal portion are adapted to form a seal between two mold units such that the bond beam form portions are combined to form a bond beam form. The system can be used to form an insulated concrete wall.
