  • Publication number: 20220370304
Abstract: A method for preparing a cosmetic component is provided which includes applying a layer of a dry cosmetic ingredient between a pair of fibrous sheets obtained by electrospinning one or more polymeric materials at least one of which is capable of cold flow under pressure. Sufficient pressure is then applied to the layers of fibrous sheets to cause cold flow of at least some of the polymeric material such that at least parts of the fibrous sheets bond with each other and entrap the cosmetic ingredient in position between them and prevent it from migrating between the sheets during further processing or handling.
