  • Patent number: 10760712
Abstract: Fluid regulators are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a vale body, a valve seat, and protrusions. The valve body has an inlet and an outlet. The valve seat is located within the valve body and is positioned between the inlet and the outlet. The protrusions are formed by and extend along an inner wall of the valve body between the valve seat and the outlet, and end adjacent the outlet. At least one of the protrusions is spaced relative to others of the protrusions. The protrusions are to increase a uniformity of a flow pattern of fluid flowing through a cross-section of the outlet. Each of the protrusions has a central axis oriented perpendicularly to a corresponding surrounding portion of the inner wall.

  • Patent number: 10578186
Abstract: Spring seat vibration damper apparatus for use with fluid pressure regulators are disclosed. A disclosed apparatus includes a first spring seat of a fluid pressure regulator defining a first protrusion and a second spring seat of the fluid pressure regulator defining a second protrusion. The second protrusion is configured to receive at least a portion of the first protrusion. The first spring seat moves relative to the second spring seat to provide a damping effect between the protrusions.

  • Publication number: 20040261855
Abstract: A control valve system is disclosed which provides a mechanism by which the valve can be moved to its fail-safe position. The system includes a valve actuator which receives pressurized fluid from a regulator. The regulator is provided with a reverse pressure exhaust valve such that if pressure within the valve actuator is to be alleviated, as when the valve is to be positioned into its fail-safe position, the reverse pressure exhaust valve is opened thereby providing an immediate and accurate passageway through which excess pressure within the regulator outlet can be alleviated.

  • Patent number: 5709369
Abstract: A self-aligning valve disc assembly for a fluid regulator valve. A disc holder includes a central, raised protrusion enabled in one embodiment by a cone-shaped floor surface for providing a single point of contact with a disc. The single contact point provides a pivoting action with a point of force inside the diameter of the opposing force of the valve seat. This enables the pivoting action of the disc to self-align the disc to the seating surface so as to reduce the forces required for the regulator to function properly.
