  • Publication number: 20160148406
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting real estate vacancies using satellite imagery is described. The method is implemented using a computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes receiving, by the computing device, a first location identifier that identifies a first real property location. The method additionally includes retrieving, by the computing device, a first satellite image of the first real property location. Additionally, the method includes retrieving, by the computing device, a second satellite image of the first real property location. The method additionally includes generating, by the computing device, a compound image of the first real property location by overlaying the second satellite image over the first satellite image. Additionally, the method includes providing the compound image to a user interface, wherein the compound image provides an indication of one or more vacant portions of the first real property location.

  • Publication number: 20160140544
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that anonymized consumer transaction data in such manner to prevent de-anonymization to reveal personally identifiable information (PII) of the consumers. The process includes selecting particular consumer transaction data, generating a dictionary of items, generating consumer groups, matching consumer transaction data for each consumer to a group, forming modifiable consumer transaction histories, and quantifying a similarity between consumer groups. In some embodiments, the process includes discarding consumer groups that contain less than a threshold number of consumers, selecting at least one consumer group that contains at least a threshold number of consumers as the anonymized consumer transaction dataset, and providing the anonymized consumer transaction dataset to a third party for analysis.

  • Publication number: 20160132879
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enforcing differential pricing and other pricing structures using a payment network. One embodiment of the payment network includes a server, a processor, and a memory module that includes stored computer program code. The memory module, the stored computer program code, and the processor are configured to cause the server to parse a request message associated with a payment transaction to obtain an item identifier and payment mechanism information. The item identifier is associated with an item to be purchased as part of the payment transaction. The payment mechanism information is associated with a payment mechanism. The memory module, the stored computer program code, and the processor are further configured to cause the server to obtain a determination of whether, based on the payment mechanism information, the payment mechanism complies with a set of pricing control rules associated with the item.

  • Publication number: 20160104105
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying potential shipments of prohibited goods from merchants in connection with processing transactions relating to the goods. In one exemplary embodiment, a request is initially received, at a computing device, to process a transaction relating to goods provided by a target merchant where the request includes an address or other data associated with the target merchant. A database of merchants that have previously been identified as, or associated with, selling and/or shipping prohibited goods to consumers is then searched for the address or other data associated with the target merchant. When the address or other data associated with the target merchant is in the database, the target merchant is flagged at the computing device and the transaction is declined.
