Abstract: A batter template system and related methods of forming custom pancakes. The batter template system can include one or more template mats made from flexible, non-stick materials that are suitable for use with food and can accommodate conventional cooking temperatures. The template mat can have thermal properties allowing for rapid heating and can be non-perforated. Each template mat can include a permanently etched design on one or both sides of a non-stick sheet. The template mat can be sized and shaped to fit onto a cooking surface of a countertop griddle, cooking pan or even range top surface. One or more pancake batters can be traced or otherwise applied to the etched design to form a pancake depicting a visual design element.

Abstract: Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified inspection and maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

Abstract: Apparatus and related methods for brewing or making individual servings of a brewed beverage with a manual pump brewer. The manual pump brewer can include a pump assembly and a brew chamber assembly, whereby user manipulation of the pump assembly directs a heated liquid through a brewing media to form a serving of a freshly brewed beverage. The manual pump brewer can include a filter assembly for directly brewing a beverage from a brewing media provided by a user. Alternatively, the manual pump brewer can receive individual pods having a single serving of a brewing media such that the pump assembly directs the heated liquid through the individual pod to brew each serving of the brewed beverage.
