Abstract: An arrangement includes at least one shelf system including movable shelves, at least one operating station for collecting items from a movable shelf at the operating station, a first lift for transporting the movable shelves between parking positions of the shelves in the shelf system and the operating station, a second lift for transporting and engaging palletless variable size items. The second lift is capable of docking to the movable shelves of the shelf system for communicating items to the movable shelves or from the movable shelves.

Abstract: A method positions a load and fetches a positioned load or stacks loads with a crane having location measurement arranged thereto. The method includes taking a load to a selected position; detecting the unloading of the load mainly automatically; storing coordinate information of the load position mainly automatically into the memory of the crane or its control; when fetching a load or adding loads to a stack, activating, at a selected first time instant, a positioning switch arranged in the crane and connected to the memory, whereby coordinates of a load or stack most advantageously positioned relative to the movement of the crane are selected, after which the crane begins to move to said coordinates; and then hoisting or lowering the load at the selected coordinates, and at a selected second time instant, deleting the coordinate information associated with the position of the load from the memory.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for crane control and stock management, the method includes attaching to the goods to be stored an identifier associated with a code, such as number or name, given to the goods in stock accounting or the like; reading the identifier with a reader, when the goods are being transferred by a crane; transmitting the identifier information from the reader to the memory of the crane control; transferring the goods with the crane to a selected location in the warehouse; and storing the coordinates of the goods to the memory of the crane control so that they are associated with the identifier; and when the goods are removed from the warehouse, reading with the reader from a work order or the like the identifier information associated with the goods; and transmitting the identifier information from the reader to the memory of the crane control; and activating the crane control with the identifier information, whereby the crane moves to the location of the earlier stored goods.
