  • Patent number: 7778965
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for handling instances of providers in a plurality of frameworks. An instance of a first provider is created and registered to store a first change to a buffer. An instance of a second provider is created and registered to store a second change to the buffer. The buffer is checked to determine whether data consistency is guaranteed to result from the first and second changes. If data consistency is guaranteed, the first and second changes are committed to a database.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2006
Date of Patent: August 17, 2010
    Assignee: SAP AG
Inventors: Jutta Bindewald, Frank Brunswig, Uwe Schlarb, Volker Wiechers
  • Patent number: 7606820
Abstract: The description includes methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for detecting and handling changes to back-end systems. Configuration data for a pattern is received. The pattern includes a predefined arrangement of user interface elements and specifies predefined actions that can be performed using the user interface elements. The configuration data includes a first version identification and specifies associations between one or more of the user interface elements and one or more entities in a back-end system. The back-end system is accessed and a second version identification is obtained. If the first version identification does not match the second version identification, the configuration data is modified based on information about the back-end system.

  • Publication number: 20040123271
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for debugging a computer program running on a system that is separated from the debugging system by at least one firewall. The computer program being debugged can be a Java application. A router on each side of the firewall can be used to establish communication between the two systems. To the debugging system, it appears that the computer program is running locally.
