Publication number: 20240183669Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for navigating a pedestrian tour including a processor circuit, a memory and a screen. The pedestrian tour includes a starting point, a first pedestrian tour zone and a second pedestrian tour zone, all of which are connected by a series of connecting paths. First and second suggested travel constraints, corresponding respectively with the first and second pedestrian tour zones, are stored in the memory. Responsive to determining that the pedestrian's actual travel within the first pedestrian tour zone will vary from the first suggested travel constraint, the processor circuit dynamically revises the second suggested travel constraint to permit the pedestrian user to execute the pedestrian tour in accordance with a preset target travel constraint for the pedestrian tour.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2024Publication date: June 6, 2024Applicant: Naver CorporationInventors: Shreepriya SHREEPRIYA, Danilo GALLO, Jutta WILLAMOWSKI

Patent number: 11099016Abstract: Generating a pedestrian tour includes: receiving a query from a user device via a network, the query indicative of a request for a pedestrian tour and including a location and preferences including a target length for the pedestrian tour; obtaining a graph of a geographical area around the location of the user device, the graph including nodes indicative of path crossings and arcs indicative of paths connecting pairs of the nodes; determining scores for the arcs based on characteristics of the arcs, respectively, and the preferences; selecting connecting ones of the arcs based on the scores of the connecting ones of the arcs, lengths of the selected connecting ones of the arcs, and the target length; adding the selected connecting ones of the arcs to the pedestrian tour to initialize the pedestrian tour; and transmitting the pedestrian tour to the user device via the network for display.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2019Date of Patent: August 24, 2021Assignee: NAVER CORPORATIONInventors: Sofia Michel, Stéphane Clinchant, Christophe Legras, Jutta Willamowski

Patent number: 7577706Abstract: A document management system includes one or more document repositories for storing documents and a document notification and delivery service (DNDS) for detecting documents pertaining to subjects that are stored in the document repositories. A plurality of workflow modules subscribe to the DNDS to receive documents identified that pertain to subscribed subjects. At least two workflow modules produce documents that are published to the document repositories. Further, a first workflow module publishes to one of the document repositories a first document which is detected by the DNDS and which pertains to at least one subscribed subject of a second workflow module. Subsequent to the publication of the first document by the DNDS to the one of the document repositories, the DNDS delivers the first document to the second workflow module that operates independent from the first workflow module to produce a second document.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2003Date of Patent: August 18, 2009Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Damian Arregui, Francois Pacull, Jutta Willamowski, Stefania Castellani

Publication number: 20070140556Abstract: A system suited to correction of red eyes in images includes a detection module which, for a plurality of pixels in a digital image, assigns a probability that a pixel is within a red eye. The probability has a value which may vary from a minimum value to maximum value. A classifier module classifies a patch of the image comprising a region of contiguous pixels which have at least a threshold probability that the pixel is within a red eye. The classifier module distinguishing patches which have a likelihood of including a red eye from other patches which have a likelihood of containing a face or background error rather than a redeye. A correction module assigns a correction to apply to pixels which are in a region of contiguous pixels having at least the threshold probability that the pixel is within a red eye and for which the associated patch has been identified by the classifier as having a probability of including a red eye.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2005Publication date: June 21, 2007Inventors: Jutta Willamowski, Gabriela Csurka

Publication number: 20060274950Abstract: A method suited to the detection and correction of red-eyes includes assigning a probability to pixels of a digital image of the pixel being in a red-eye, the probability being a function of a color of the pixel. Optionally, generally circular regions in the image of contiguous pixels which satisfy at least one test for a red-eye are identified. The test may include determining a size or shape of the region or an extent of overlap with a region comprising pixels having at least a threshold probability of being in a red-eye. For each of a plurality of the pixels, such as simply those in identified regions, or for all pixels or a larger group of the pixels, a color correction for the pixel is determined. The correction is a function of the assigned probability that the pixel is within a red-eye and a color of the pixel.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2005Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventors: Lixin Fan, Jutta Willamowski, Christopher Dance
