Patent number: 8819946Abstract: A support arm that is rockably supported on one end of a grip portion and projects from the one end is provided. Both ends of a blade head are supported by the support arm such that the blade head can rock around an axis extending along a reciprocating direction of an inner blade, and an axial direction of the rocking motion of the support arm with respect to the grip portion is set in a direction intersecting with the reciprocating direction of the inner blade. This configuration achieves an electric shaver capable of increasing the movable range of the blade head while preventing a main body from increasing in size.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2006Date of Patent: September 2, 2014Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Masanobu Yamasaki, Takeshi Shiba, Juzaemon Iwasaki, Shinji Fujimoto, Masaaki Sato, Shunsuke Komori

Patent number: 7832104Abstract: The invention provides a hair removing apparatus having a body hair treatment head removing a body hair by shaving the body hair, depilating the body hair or cutting the body hair, and a main body grip held by a hand, and in which the body hair treatment head being rotatably coupled to the main body grip in such a manner that the body hair treatment head is freely oscillated with respect to the main body grip. In this structure, the hair removing apparatus is provided with a weight applying means for applying a force opposing to a force by which the body hair treatment head is oscillated by its own weight of the body hair treatment head around a center of rotation of the body hair treatment head.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2005Date of Patent: November 16, 2010Assignee: Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masanobu Yamasaki, Toshiyuki Tsushio, Takeshi Shiba, Juzaemon Iwasaki

Publication number: 20090241343Abstract: A support arm 27 that is rockably supported on one end of a grip portion 2 and projects from the one end is provided. Both ends of a blade head 3 are supported by the support arm 27 such that the blade head 3 can rock around an axis extending along a reciprocating direction of an inner blade 14, and an axial direction of the rocking motion of the support arm 27 with respect to the grip portion 2 is set in a direction intersecting with the reciprocating direction of the inner blade 14. This configuration achieves an electric shaver capable of increasing the movable range of the blade head while preventing a main body from increasing in size.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2006Publication date: October 1, 2009Applicant: PANASONIC ELECTRIC WORKS CO., LTD.Inventors: Masanobu Yamasaki, Takeshi Shiba, Juzaemon Iwasaki, Shinji Fujimoto, Masaaki Sato, Shunsuke Komori

Publication number: 20070261249Abstract: The invention provides a hair removing apparatus having a body hair treatment head (A) removing a body hair by shaving the body hair, depilating the body hair or cutting the body hair, and a main body grip (2) held by a hand, and in which the body hair treatment head (A) being rotatably coupled to the main body grip (2) in such a manner that the body hair treatment head (A) is freely oscillated with respect to the main body grip (2). In this structure, the hair removing apparatus is provided with a weight applying means (100, 110, 120, 130, 140) for applying a force opposing to a force by which the body hair treatment head (A) is oscillated by its own weight of the body hair treatment head (A) around a center (81) of rotation of the body hair treatment head (A).Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2005Publication date: November 15, 2007Applicant: MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC WORKS, LTD.Inventors: Masanobu Yamasaki, Toshiyuki Tsushio, Takeshi Shiba, Juzaemon Iwasaki

Patent number: 5356415Abstract: A depilating device removes hairs from the skin of a user and includes a carrier mounting a series of fixed and movable pinching plates arranged along an axial direction of the carrier in an alternating relation and in a closely adjacent relation to form small clearances between the adjacent movable and fixed pinching plates for entrapping hairs therebetween. The fixed pinching plates are kept fixed with respect to the axial direction of the carrier. The movable pinching plates are caused to be displaced in the axial direction relative to the adjacent fixed pinching plates in order to repeat clamping the hairs between the adjacent ones of the fixed and movable pinching plates and releasing the same, thereby plunking the hairs from the skin.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1992Date of Patent: October 18, 1994Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Juzaemon Iwasaki, Masao Tanahashi, Hidekazu Sueyoshi

Patent number: 5108410Abstract: A depilating device removes hairs from the skin of a user and includes a carrier mounting a series of movable and fixed pinching plates arranged along a carrier axis in an alternating relation and in a closely adjacent relation to form small clearances between the adjacent movable and fixed pinching plates for entrapping hairs therebetween. A drive means is connected to drive the carrier to move the movable and fixed plates about the carrier axis. The movable plates are operatively connected to a shuttle means which is movable together with the carrier about the carrier axis but are shiftable therealong relative to the carrier so as to displace the movable plates along the carrier axis to repeat clamping the hairs between the adjacent pairs of the movable and fixed plates as the carrier moves about the carrier axis, whereby plucking the hairs from the skin.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1991Date of Patent: April 28, 1992Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Juzaemon Iwasaki, Masao Tanahashi

Patent number: 4589208Abstract: A portable electric circular saw with a tiltable base plate is disclosed herein. The circular saw comprises a housing for accommodating an electric motor, a circular saw blade operatively connected to the motor to be driven thereby, a safety guard connected to the housing for enclosing the portion of the saw blade, the base plate upon which the above parts are mounted and which is adapted to engage upon the surface of a workpiece to be sawed, and a bracket for attaching the base plate to the housing. One end portion of the bracket is secured to the housing and the opposite end thereof is pivotally connected to the base plate such that the base plate can pivot about an axis within the plane of the saw blade for adjustment of the angle of the cut. The base plate joins the bracket by fastening means at the portion intermediate the ends of the bracket after the base plate is set at a desired angle with respect to the saw blade.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1984Date of Patent: May 20, 1986Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Juzaemon Iwasaki, Shinji Ihara
