Abstract: An optical diffusion device applied in a backlight module includes a plate. Multiple light sources are disposed on one side of the plate. Multiple optical microstructures provided with a longer axis and a shorter axis are disposed on the plate. The longer axis of each optical microstructure is approximately arranged in parallel with a direction extending from the light source, or, in other words, the shorter axis is arranged approximately crossing the direction extending from the light source. A diffusion effect is provided to each light source through the shorter axis of the optical microstructure to increase optical radiant energy among the light sources and to eliminate the dim and dark regions among the light sources for increasing general luminance of the backlight module.

  • Publication number: 20110063434
Abstract: A monitor system for monitoring riverbed elevation changes at bridge piers is revealed. The monitor system includes a container, a rail, a holder, a photographic unit, a processor and a transmission unit. The container is disposed at a pier under the water and the rail is mounted in the container. The holder is arranged at the rail and is moved on the rail. The photographic unit is disposed on the holder to capture a monitor image of a riverbed under the water. As to the processor, it processes the monitor image so as to learn elevation change of the riverbed under the water. By the transmission unit, the riverbed elevation change is sent to a remote monitor unit so as to get the riverbed elevation according to the riverbed elevation change. Thus the riverbed elevation change at the bridge pier is monitored in real time.

  • Publication number: 20110056228
Abstract: The present invention discloses a cooling apparatus for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging (NMRI) RF coils comprising a base, a cup, an input tube and an output tube. The input tube and the output tube are connected to the cup, in which the base and the cup are tightly sucked together to form a vacuum space by the vacuum caused by the negative pressure when the air is drawn out. The vacuum is able to block the conduction of low temperature. The base, the cup, the input tube and the output tube may be made of heat-isolation materials with high strength of hardness. The main objective of the present invention is to provide a low temperature system for long time use by the protection of a vacuum space; therefore the particular RF coil is used to retrieve NMRI signals. By reducing the resistance, the noise is therefore restrained, and the signal-to-noise ratio is enhanced to achieve high resolution and the scanning time is significantly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090274352
Abstract: A method comprises performing a first T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) on a subject; injecting the subject with a contrast agent after performing the first T2WI; and waiting a predetermined period of time before performing a second T2WI on the subject. The first T2WI and second T2WI are then co-registered. The co-registered first T2WI and co-registered second T2WI are then trimmed. A ?R2 map is then determined based on each pixel of the trimmed first T2WI and corresponding pixels of the trimmed second T2WI. A three-dimensional map is constructed based on the ?R2 map.

  • Patent number: 7561560
Abstract: The invention relates to a symbol timing synchronization system for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system. According to the invention, the symbol timing synchronization system utilizes a shift register and a comparing device to determine whether the symbol of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system has the inter-symbol interference. When the symbol has the inter-symbol interference, a compensator is utilized to compensate the interfered symbol. Therefore, depending on the symbol timing synchronization system of the invention, the symbol timing error and the inter-symbol interference can be essentially removed so as to improve the system performance.
