  • Patent number: 10830185
Abstract: The present technology provides embodiments of recirculating noble gas combustion power cycles and systems including engines utilizing these power cycles. Embodiments of the cycles may include a combination of a high intake/exhaust pressure, very late or early intake valve closure, late exhaust valve opening, intake preheating using exhaust gases, sensible heat recovery, direct injection of fuel and/or oxidizer, and a condenser to remove combustion products and dissolved trace contaminant gases. An engine operating on these principles could provide motive force for electrical production, for example at power plants, or for transit, for example for ship engines. An engine operating with the cycles disclosed herein has high thermal efficiency and low cost. For example an argon power cycle using natural gas feedstock and cryogenic oxygen air separation could exceed 60% overall efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6704322
Abstract: A smart different prime code multiplexing system. Using the characteristic that two different prime codes do not interfere with each other, these two prime codes are combined to replace the conventional asynchronous division multiple access. Without affecting the user and the original data, in the original optical fiber transmission system, other users or data are dynamically added to improve the insufficient capacity of the prime code system. The decoding capacity is thus raised to achieve the objective of multiple access. Furthermore, in the invention, a synchronous parallel prime code is used to increase the original asynchronous decoding capacity. Therefore, a decoding capacity in the asynchronous system similar to that of the synchronous system is obtained. Characteristics such as ultra-high capacity and ultra-high operating speed can also be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20020042758
Abstract: A system for ordering and downloading digital content with unique identity recognition through a network is provided. The system includes a user terminal, a web store, and a digital right management (DRM) server. The web store is used for providing a digital content product for purchase at the user terminal. The DRM server is capable of connecting to the web store and is employed for providing a unique identity (UID) for the user terminal to apply for, and the digital content product for the user terminal to download. In addition, the DRM server performs UID recognition for the user terminal so as to allow the user terminal to download the digital content product from the DRM server. When the user opens and uses the digital content product, the user is required to use only a UID. Thus, when the user have purchased many digital content products, it is unnecessary for the user to remember which of the identities obtained by different web stores is associated with the digital content product to be opened.

  • Publication number: 20020029351
Abstract: A method used in networks for controlling the termination date of electrical documents. The network includes a server connected with a plurality of terminals, that can request the server to rent an electrical document for a specific time period and the server storing the electrical document to a storage device of the terminal. Users begin by loading an application program in the terminal to set a specific storing position for the electrical document. Then, the server encrypts the current date, the termination date, and the plaintext of the electrical document to a corresponding ciphertext, and transferring the ciphertext to the terminal. The terminal accepts and stores the ciphertext in the specific storing position of the storage device, and records the information of the storing position when it requests the server to rent the electrical document.
