  • Patent number: 8482823
Abstract: A contact-type image scanner includes an illumination unit, a control unit and a photo-sensing unit. The illumination unit includes a first, a second and a third light source for respectively emitting different color light beams on an original surface. The control unit is in communication with the illumination unit for controlling on durations of the light sources. In response to a first start pulse and a second start pulse, the first light source and the second light source are turned on for a first on duration and a second on duration respectively, wherein the second light source is turned on immediately after the first light source is turned off or after the first light source is turned off for a delaying time. In response to a third start pulse, the first, second and third light sources are simultaneously turned on for a first minor on duration, a second minor on duration and a third minor on duration, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7184181
Abstract: A scanning module capable of finely tuning the optical length comprises a lamp tube, a base, a photosensitive substrate, and an adjustment unit. The lamp tube provides a required light source for a document to be scanned. The base has a reflective mirror set and a camera lens. The reflective mirror set is used to receive light from the document, and transmits the light to the camera lens for focusing. The photosensitive substrate is used to convert light outputted by the camera lens into electronic signals. The adjustment unit is used to adjust the optical length between the base and the photosensitive substrate. The total optical length can thus be adjusted to correct the inaccuracy of magnification. Or the distance between the camera lens and the photosensitive substrate can be adjusted to align the focal length within the allowable inaccuracy of magnification to achieve an output image of better quality.

  • Patent number: 6657670
Abstract: A diaphragm structure for digital still camera and arranged within digital still camera comprises a lens set, a first light-blocking plate having a first aperture, and a second light-blocking plate having a second aperture. The two light-blocking plates are movably arranged within the lens set and in abutting relationship. The two light-blocking plates are moved linearly with the lens set such that said two apertures can be aligned or staggered to each other and the operation of the lens set can be controlled. The diaphragm structure of the present invention can overcome the problem of complicated structure, high cost and the difficulty of placing the diaphragm within the lens set.

  • Patent number: 6641281
Abstract: The present invention provides a lamp tube support structure, which comprises a support piece for fixing a lamp tube. The lamp tube support structure comprises a first half and a second half. The first half has a gap. A clamping portion is formed at two extension ends of the gap. A guard ear is annularly disposed at the inner edge of the gap. Grooves are disposed at left and right ends of the second half. A wing portion is formed below the grooves. The wing portion can be jammed into a hole of a rack for supporting the lamp tube after being bent. The wing portion will elastically spring back to be erectly fixed on the rack. When the lamp tube is placed at the gap of the support piece, it will be fixedly supported on the rack.
