Specifically, embodiments of the invention streamline the process for initiating a request by employing an Application Programming Interface (API) to make calls to other applications/tools (e.g., project tools and the like) and automatically imports data from the other applications/tools to the technology resource module/tool. Moreover, embodiments of the invention provide for automated validation of data entries by employing the API to make calls to systems of record and the like to compare data entries to data in the systems of record. Embodiments of the invention are configured such that the technology resource process will not proceed to the review/approval stage until successful validation of all requisite data entries has been completed.
