  • Publication number: 20230058427
Abstract: A system for adjusting volume and ambient sounds in an earphone device with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality, implemented using a microphone and a signal processor, wherein a signal mixer is configured to, in response to detecting a rotation of a first dial connected to the earphone device, adjust the proportions between a group of signals in a mixed signal generated for the speaker of the earphone device, and thereby enabling precise and intuitive control of both playback volume and ambient sound processing.

  • Publication number: 20220417635
Abstract: An insert headset apparatus utilizes a user generated sound signal such as the user's own voice to control de-occlusion and make the user's own voice sound normal. A voice accelerometer or microphone is used to detect when the user or a nearby person is speaking. When the voice of the user or a nearby person is detected a valve is opened. The valve enables venting of the ear canal, resulting in de-occlusion.

  • Publication number: 20220377447
Abstract: An earphone device and system for improving wind resistance protection as well as controllability of true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets are provided. The earphone device includes headset microphones in a housing facing outwards and configured to generate a microphone signal. The earphone device includes a control dial rotatably attached to the housing through a pivot. The dial is substantially flat and arranged to form a narrow gap between the housing and the dial. The dial is further arranged to cover each microphone, thereby providing wind and dirt protection but leaving a gap for the sound waves to reach the microphones.

  • Publication number: 20220373358
Abstract: An earphone device (1) and system for improving user control in true wireless stereo (TWS) headsets using a rotatable dial (8) attached to a housing (3) and a magnetic sensing arrangement comprising at least one magnetized portion (10) arranged in the dial (8) and at least one magnetic sensor (12) arranged in the housing (3) so that, in response to rotation of the dial (8), the magnetized portion (10) intermittently engages with the magnetic sensor (12) to indicate rotational extent and direction of the dial (8).
