  • Patent number: 4870258
Abstract: A booklet, such as a passbook is transferred to the position, in which a page turning device is provided, on a base, by a transfer mechanism comprising driving and follower rollers. During a page turning operation, the booklet is pressed from the rear side thereof against the page turning device by a pressing force which is varied in accordance with the rigidity of the paper in the booklet. The page turning device is turned with the booklet, pressed against the same, to transfer the booklet at a speed according to the turning condition of the uppermost paper in the booklet, whereby the page turning operation is carried out.

  • Patent number: 4739341
Abstract: A heat sensitive transfer recording apparatus comprising a carrier such as a transfer film to which applied is a transfer material that may be heat transferred, a thermal head having a number of heater elements each producing heat in accordance with an image signal, and a platen roller rotatable in a forward direction or in a reverse direction. The carrier and a recording medium, such as a recording paper overlapped on the carrier, are delivered in the forward direction by the platen roller while being pressed by the thermal head, whereupon the image recording is carried out. Also, in case of multicolor overlap recording, the recording medium is delivered in the reverse direction under a pressure release condition of the thermal head by an assistant roller provided on a recording medium pay-out side with respect to the transfer position defined between the platen roller and the thermal head.

  • Patent number: 4667208
Abstract: In a control system for a thermal transfer color printer capable of color print, first and second sensors for detecting a printing paper are disposed before and after a platen roller for carrying the printing paper, so that when the printing paper is carried and detected by the first sensor, the printing paper is changed to a low speed and at the same time a thermal head is pressed against the printing paper through an ink film and when the printing paper is detected by the second sensor, the thermal head is supplied with a print signal for color printing.

  • Patent number: 4605938
Abstract: A recording apparatus of thermal transfer type includes a thermal head having a plurality of linearly-arrayed heat generating elements selectively generating heat in response to the application of a character and pattern information signal providing the thermal transfer energy, and a carrier having a coating of a thermally transferably recording material. A recording medium recording character and pattern information is disposed between the carrier and a platen roller to be transported by the platen roller. At the time of recording character and pattern information on the recording medium, the thermal transfer energy is applied to the heat generating elements corresponding to the character and pattern information signal while pressing the thermal head against the platen roller. During the recording, the thermal transfer energy is controlled to correspond to the required density tone of the character and pattern information to be recorded.

  • Patent number: 4562443
Abstract: A thermal transfer color recording apparatus comprises a transfer sheet in which a plurality of color inks adapted to be thermally transferred are arrayed in a large number of regions, and a thermal head in which a plurality of heat generating elements adapted to generate heat in response to a picture recording signal are arrayed in the form of a line. The transfer sheet and a recording medium placed one over the other are conveyed in a forward or reverse direction by a platen roller while being depressed by the thermal head, and only the transfer sheet is conveyed without the depression of the thermal head.
