  • Publication number: 20240143530
Abstract: Techniques for improving the handling of peripherals in a computer system, including through the use of a DMA control circuit that helps manage the flow of data between memory and the peripherals via an intermediate storage buffer. The DMA control circuit is configured to control timing of DMA transfers between sample buffers in the memory and the intermediate storage buffer. The DMA control circuit may output a priority value of the DMA control circuit for accesses to memory, where the priority value based on stored quality of service (QoS) information and current channel data buffer levels for different DMA channels. The DMA control circuit may separately arbitrate between multiple active transmit and receive channels. Still further, the DMA control circuit may store, for a given data transfer over a particular DMA channel, timestamp information indicative of completion of the DMA and peripheral-side operations.

  • Publication number: 20240132578
Abstract: The invention provides a method for obtaining a broadly neutralizing antibody (bNab), including screening memory B cell cultures from a donor PBMC sample for neutralization activity against a plurality of HIV-1 species, cloning a memory B cell that exhibits broad neutralization activity; and rescuing a monoclonal antibody from that memory B cell culture. The resultant monoclonal antibodies may be characterized by their ability to selectively bind epitopes from the Env proteins in native or monomeric form, as well as to inhibit infection of HIV-1 species from a plurality of clades. Compositions containing human monoclonal anti-HIV antibodies used for prophylaxis, diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection are provided. Methods for generating such antibodies by immunization using epitopes from conserved regions within the variable loops of gp120 are provided. Immunogens for generating anti-HIV1 bNAbs are also provided. Furthermore, methods for vaccination using suitable epitopes are provided.

  • Patent number: 11920202
Abstract: Described herein is an unbiased method of identifying tumor rejection mediating neoepitopes (TRMNs). Putative neoepitopes from a cancer cell exome sequence from a cancer patient are putative neoepitopes are unbiased by MHC binding and/or CD8T* reactivity. By plotting the putative neoepitope IC50s on one axis, and the non-mutated amino acid sequence IC50s on a perpendicular axis to provide a bivariate scatter plot, novel TRMNs are identified TRMNs the neoepitopes in the bivariate scatter plot which are in the space greater than 501 nM on the x-axis and greater than 501 nM on the y-axis. Peptides and nucleic acids for expressing peptides including the TRMNs are also described.

  • Patent number: 11599776
Abstract: The ability to rapidly identify symmetry and anti-symmetry is an essential attribute of intelligence. Symmetry perception is a central process in human vision and may be key to human 3D visualization. While previous work in understanding neuron symmetry perception has concentrated on the neuron as an integrator, the invention provides the coincidence detecting property of the spiking neuron can be used to reveal symmetry density in spatial data. A synchronized symmetry-identifying spiking artificial neural network enables layering and feedback in the network. The network of the invention can identify symmetry density between sets of data and present a digital logic implementation demonstrating an 8×8 leaky-integrate-and-fire symmetry detector in a field-programmable gate array. The efficiency of spiking neural networks can be harnessed to rapidly identify symmetry in spatial data with applications in image processing, 3D computer vision, and robotics.

  • Publication number: 20230026776
Abstract: A cuff is described for a target anatomic feature within a body, along with a system for utilizing the cuff. The cuff includes a band defining a circumferential opening extending along a length of the band; and a pair of engagement surfaces defined by or affixed to the cuff, the engagement surfaces structured for application of a spreading force to be distributed continuously along a portion of the circumferential opening, thereby increasing the circumferential opening and expanding the cuff for a closed configuration to an open configuration sized for placement of the cuff. The cuff is structured to remain in the closed configuration in the absence of the spreading force and automatically return to the closed configuration after removal of the spreading force.
