    Abstract: A steering column includes an outer jacket that is adjustably secured to a carrier unit and clamped to a telescopically adjustable inner jacket. The outer jacket has a tubular body with a clamping slot extending longitudinally. Opposing side plates disposed alongside the clamping slot extend longitudinally. The side plates are connected to the tubular body and each have a longitudinally-extending elongated hole spaced apart from the tubular body in an outer region that protrudes from the tubular body. A clamping bolt extends through the elongated holes and an opening of the carrier unit. The clamping bolt applies a clamping force to load the side plates. An inner region of each side plate is fixed to the tubular body. A support element is connected to each side plate between the elongated hole and the inner region and is connected to the tubular body in an edge region of the clamping slot.

A pretensioning apparatus may have a pressure piece that can be braced from an outside in a tensioning direction transversely to the longitudinal axis against the inner casing. The pressure piece is held in the longitudinal direction on the outer casing and is supported against a fixing element counter to the tensioning direction. The fixing element is fixed in a recess of the outer casing. The fixing element has a forming means that is plastically furrowed into the recess, and/or the recess has a forming means that is plastically furrowed into the fixing element.

Such continuous flow processes may optionally include the crystallization of lomustine and the apparatuses may optionally include crystallization apparatuses/reactors in either batch or continuous flow design. In one aspect of the disclosure, a process for making lomustine is provided comprising treating solutions of 2-chloroethylisocyanate with a solution of cyclohexylamine with continuous-flow pumps in a gram-flow reactor to form a combined solution, adding deionized water with a continuous flow-pump to the combined solution to form a liquid-organic phase solution, extracting the organic phase from the solution and treating with a solution of t-butyl nitrite with a continuous flow pump in a gram flow reactor to form lomustine.

    Abstract: A steering column may include a casing tube in which a steering spindle is rotatably mounted, a guide unit that receives the casing unit so as to be telescopically adjustable in a direction of a longitudinal axis, and an electromotor adjustment drive that is arranged between the casing tube and the guide unit. An inner bearing face of the guide unit surrounds an outer casing surface of the casing tube and includes a slot extending longitudinally with a slot width between mutually opposing slot edges. A preload device engages the slot edges and is configured to apply a tightening force to reduce the slot width to preload the bearing face together with the casing surface. A clamping body cooperates with the slot edges via a deflection device that converts a reduction of slot width into a radial clamping movement of the clamping body for radial preloading the outer casing surface.
