Certain embodiments of the accessory enable customization of the garment for disparate physical anatomies of various patients. Other embodiments of the accessory enable customization of the garment for aesthetics and comfort of various patients. Non-exhaustive examples of such a WMD include wearable cardioverter defibrillators and wearable monitoring devices.

Abstract: A retractable ramp system for a mobility vehicle. A ramp platform is driven by a reversible motor, associated drive pulley, and drive belt affixed to a ramp carriage assembly. A spring-loaded mechanical release assembly is used to engage the drive pulley to the motor and to disengage the drive pulley from the motor. A manual control assembly is used for manual deployment of the ramp when the drive pulley is disengaged from the motor. The ramp flap provides a transition between the ramp platform and a mobility vehicle. The ramp flap is supported by wheels which translate along the ramp platform. Linear bearing blocks attach to pivot arms of the carriage assembly, which are in turn pivotably attached to the ramp platfom. Linear bearing blocks translate the ramp platform along guide shafts during deployment and stowage.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products assess and manage work-related musculoskeletal injuries associated with one or more work sites. A method involves defining musculoskeletal injury categories and drawing relationships between the musculoskeletal injury categories by applying specialized medical knowledge. The relationships prevent informational disconnect between slightly disparate diagnoses between physicians who evaluate a same patient for the work-related musculoskeletal injury. The method also involves structuring storage of the relationships in a relational database, gathering for each work site, demographics and statistics on work-related musculoskeletal injuries associated with at least one of relatively high lost time or relatively high medical cost, and utilizing the relationships and the demographics to compile and retrieve data that facilitates prevention or improved resolution of the musculoskeletal injury.

A method involves receiving historical data associated with the athlete and receiving performance data from a functional assessment of the athlete. The functional assessment is designed based on a sport, a position, and/or the injury of the athlete. The method also involves querying a data source for mined data associated with athlete injuries similar to the injury being assessed, generating predictive data relevant to the injury, and analyzing the historical data, the performance data, the mined data, and/or the predictive data to produce a predictive analysis associated with the athlete.

Abstract: A system and method for providing network-based functionality to a spreadsheet includes, the client side, a personal computer application which is augmented with network-enabling software that provides users with new network-based functionality that can be accessed within the personal computer application. The network-enabling software of the present invention enables users to generate and modify spreadsheets by embedding network-enabling objects that can launch and make use of network-based functionality from within the personal computer application. The invention further includes remote server support for the network-enabling software that augments the personal computer application, and as well as support for the resulting spreadsheet.

Abstract: A system and method for providing network-based functionality to a word processing document includes, on the client side, a productivity application which is augmented with network-enabling software that provides users with new network-based functionality, which may be accessed within the productivity application. The invention further includes remote server support for the network-enabling software that augments the personal computer application, and as well as providing support for the resulting word processing document. A nut or keeper is positioned at the opposite end of the barrel to impart rotation to the shaft in response to axial movement of the shaft through the barrel.
