  • Publication number: 20120098275
Abstract: A plant for the combined re-gasification of refrigerated liquid gas and the production of electric power, where both a unit for re-gasification of liquid gas and a unit for the production of electric power are installed on board a floating terminal comprising tanks for liquid gas, said power producing unit being designed for the generation of electric power by combustion of hydrocarbons, and that the heat produced by the power producing unit is used for the re-gasification of the refrigerated liquid gas.

  • Patent number: 7207284
Abstract: A tank installation for the storage of liquids, especially oil in a floating storage or production installation, including a number of tanks which are connected to pipe systems for supply of liquid to or removal of liquid from the tanks. The installation includes a central section around which the tanks are arranged in such a manner that each tank has an inner sidewall portion bordering on the central section, and the pipe systems are arranged in the central section and include radially extending pipe lengths that are connected to respective tanks.

  • Patent number: 6945736
Abstract: Platform for drilling after or production of hydrocarbons at sea, consisting of a semi-submersible platform body which supports drilling and/or production equipment on its upper surface. The platform body is designed as a vertical mainly flat bottomed cylinder which is provided with at least one peripheral circular cut-out in the lower section of the cylinder since the centre of buoyancy for the submerged section of the platform is positioned lower than the centre of gravity of the platform.

  • Patent number: 6397770
Abstract: A ship for use in offshore operations, with one or more vertical openings (moonpools) in the hull, wherein the deck and/or hull bottom areas between or substantially between and/or otherwise adjacent the openings, are displaced relative to the rest of the deck and/or hull bottom areas of the ship to a position closer to the ship's transverse neutral axis. The area between the rest of the other deck- and hull bottom areas and substantially the displaced area or areas at the openings in the ship and the rest of the deck- and/or hull bottom areas can be stepped in one or more steps, or be shaped as an approximately linear or arcuate junction.

  • Patent number: 6332500
Abstract: An anchoring system for the production of hydrocarbons at sea by employing a moored production vessel or ship in which the ship is equipped with a mooring apparatus, preferably at the bow portion, and with at least one connection unit for a production riser from the seabed. Included is an anchor located at the seabed, as well as at least one anchor line adapted to connect the anchor to the mooring apparatus on the ship. There being provided a permanent anchor, preferably in the form of a suction anchor, gravitation anchor, or pile anchor. The anchor being provided with a swivel mechanism for the anchoring line, preferably with a buoyant body attached at a middle portion of the anchoring line, and whereby the riser is in the form of at least one flexible hose, the lower end of which is connected to said swivel mechanism.
