  • Patent number: 9239714
Abstract: A system for a rapid deployment of software system includes a rapid deployment preparation module and a rapid deployment module. The rapid deployment preparation module archives a machine-independent portion of a software system preinstalled and preconfigured on a source machine. The rapid deployment module unpacks and installs the machine-independent portion of the software system on a target machine. The rapid deployment module then reconstructs a machine-dependent portion of the software system on the target machine using the target machine specific data.

  • Publication number: 20150353996
Abstract: A label free, reusable and high sensitivity viral fiber sensor is provided in the present invention. The label free, high sensitivity and reusability are the advantages of this sensor. Long Period Microfiber Grating (LPMFG) is used for the sensing device. It allows optically detecting the change in refractive index at the grating surface with an extra high sensitivity. This provides an optical detection method to monitor DNA Hybridization. The single stranded DNA (ssDNA) probe is immobilized onto the LPMFG's surface for hybridizing with a DNA sample in order to identify the viral strain in the sample. This LPMFG-based viral sensor functions by inducing a refractive index change on the grating surface through the bio-molecule binding between the target viral ssDNA and the immobilized probe ssDNA. Regeneration of a surface-immobilized probe without a significant loss of hybridization activity retains at least 10 successive assays without any significant loss of performance (less than 10% decrease).

  • Publication number: 20150057480
Abstract: A system for radial flow contact of a reactant stream with catalyst particles includes a reactor vessel and a catalyst retainer in the reactor vessel. The catalyst retainer includes an inner particle retention device and an outer particle retention device. The inner particle retention device and the outer particle retention device are spaced apart to define a catalyst retaining space. The inner particle retention device defines an axial flow path of the reactor vessel, and the outer particle retention device and an inner surface of a wall of the reactor vessel define an annular flow path of the reactor vessel. The system includes an inlet nozzle having an exit opening in fluid communication with the axial flow path, and an outlet nozzle in fluid communication with the annular flow path. The system can further include a fluid displacement device in the axial flow path of the reactor vessel.
