The second UPNP system can be associated with a second wireless access point. The first UPNP system can identify one or more parameters to be monitored with regard to the second UPNP system. The first UPNP system can provide, to the second UPNP system and using a UPNP protocol, information identifying the one or more parameters to be monitored. The first UPNP system can receive, from the second UPNP system and based on the UPNP protocol, data regarding the one or more parameters. The first UPNP system can identify an action to be performed based on the data regarding the one or more parameters. The first UPNP system can perform the action, or cause the second UPNP system to perform the action, using the UPNP protocol.
