  • Publication number: 20140311135
Abstract: The internal combustion engine has an upstream side NOX selective reduction catalyst and a downstream side NOX selective reduction catalyst which are arranged in an engine exhaust passage. The upstream side NOX selective reduction catalyst has a region where the NOX removal rate becomes substantially constant when the ratio of concentration of ammonia to NOX of the inflowing exhaust rises. The internal combustion engine has an operating state in that region where the ratio of concentration of ammonia to NOX is maintained. The downstream side NOX selective reduction catalyst has an ammonia oxidation ability which is larger than the upstream side NOX selective reduction catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20140311428
Abstract: The internal combustion engine has an ammonia feeder which feeds ammonia to a combustion chamber and an NOx selective reduction catalyst which is arranged in an engine exhaust passage. The removal rate of the NOx selective reduction catalyst depends on a ratio of concentration of ammonia to NOx of the exhaust which flows into the NOx selective reduction catalyst, that is, a ratio of concentration of inflow. A high removal rate range where the NOx removal rate in the NOx selective reduction catalyst becomes substantially maximum and, furthermore, the ammonia removal rate becomes substantially maximum, is set in advance. The internal combustion engine is controlled so that the ratio of concentration of inflow becomes inside the high removal rate range.

  • Publication number: 20130255228
Abstract: A catalyst deterioration diagnosis method for diagnosing deterioration of a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas by using a test catalyst disposed in an exhaust gas flow path through which the exhaust gas flows, the method including an exhaust gas control step of inverting an air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas in the flow path from a lean side to a rich side or from a rich side to a lean side; a measurement step of measuring a change over time in electrical resistance of the test catalyst at the inversion of the air-fuel ratio and finding a resistance change ratio of the test catalyst; and a determination step of determining catalytic deterioration of the test catalyst based on the resistance change ratio.

  • Publication number: 20130200830
Abstract: The invention includes a three-phase full-bridge power converter, a motor generator driven by the power converter, a pulse number generator which determines the number of pulses included in the driving signal for one electrical cycle, a voltage command generator which determines a modulation factor and a phase angle of driving voltage, and a pulse generator which generates the driving signal, and, in this invention, the pulse generator generates the driving signal having a pulse waveform which minimizes power loss in the power generator and the motor generator according to the number of pulses, the modulation factor, and the phase angle.

  • Publication number: 20130195686
Abstract: The present invention provides a variable displacement swash plate type compressor that reduces wear of cylinder bores and the amount of blow-by gas. Each piston of the compressor has a piston main body, which has a distal portion located at an end corresponding to the compression chamber. A tapering portion and an arcuate portion are formed in the distal portion. The arcuate portion is continuous with an end of the tapering portion that is closer to the compression chamber. The tapering portion and the arcuate portion each have a diameter that increases toward the skirt. The tapering portion has a tapering angle that is in a range from 0.45 degrees to 1.5 degrees. The distance between the distal end of the piston main body and a starting point of the tapering portion on an end closer to the skirt is set in a range from 1.5 mm to 5.0 mm.

  • Publication number: 20130135145
Abstract: An equation derivation section derives an observation equation that employs M epochs worth of GPS data and INS data as observation values to derive for each of the GPS satellites a float solution for number of waves of GPS data carrier wave between each of plural GPS satellites and a vehicle, wherein the range of float solutions of the number of waves is constrained by the vehicle travel path estimated based on M epochs worth of INS data. The observation equation is solved by a float solution computation section and float solutions computed for the number of waves N and the position of the vehicle for each of the GPS satellites. Fixed solutions with highest consistency are computed by a fixed solution computation section based on the float solutions for the number of waves N for each of the GPS satellites and the position of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20130100515
Abstract: Provided is technique for a semiconductor device including a substrate and a tilting plate which is tiltable relatively to the substrate, the technique being capable of effectively suppressing warpage of the tilting plate. The semiconductor device of the present specification includes a substrate and a tilting plate which is tiltable relatively to the substrate. In the semiconductor device, a rib formed of wavelike portions where a plate thickness is substantially uniform is formed on the tilting plate.
