  • Publication number: 20070153053
Abstract: A nozzle of an inkjet printer which can improve straightness of an ink, and a method of manufacturing the same. Initially, a seed metal layer can be formed on a nozzle having an ink path and a liquid photocurable resin is filled therein. The photocurable resin is hardened by emitting a light including ultraviolet rays to a nozzle plate. Next, the seed metal layer is partially exposed in the path of the nozzle by partially etching the hardened photocurable resin, and a waterproof layer is formed on the seed metal layer. Also, the photocurable resin is put into a solvent and removed. Since the waterproof layer is evenly formed in the path of the nozzle to a predetermined depth, an ink can evenly fill therein. Accordingly, it is possible to improve straightness of the ink, thereby enabling accurate printing.

  • Publication number: 20070140740
Abstract: An image forming apparatus that may be easily and inexpensively manufactured is provided. The image forming apparatus includes: a toner supply unit; an image forming element to which toner is adsorbed from the toner supply unit; an image developing unit disposed on an outer side of the image forming element, wherein said image developing unit selectively separates from the image forming element at least a part of the toner adsorbed to the image forming element in order to develop an image on the image forming element; and a toner return unit which returns the toner separated from the image forming element by the image developing unit to the toner supply unit.

  • Publication number: 20070138018
Abstract: An image drum for selectively adsorbing a toner thereon so as to form an image in a printing apparatus. The image drum provides a new manufacturing method which can connect ring electrodes formed on the circumferential surface of a drum body and a printed circuit board including a control chip for supplying a necessary voltage to each ring electrode without using a laser processing. Namely, various manufacturing methods, such as a method of forming a connection hole by initially forming a bead made of a hydrophobic material or a conductive bump and removing the initially formed bead or conductive bump, and forming a ring electrode by filling a conductive material in the connection hole, and the structure thereof are provided. Accordingly, due to a simplified manufacturing process, manufacturing cost are reduced and an image drum may be more widely disseminated.

  • Publication number: 20070132827
Abstract: An image drum device and a method of manufacturing the image drum are provided. The method includes forming electrodes, electrically insulated from each other and disposed parallel to each other, on a flexible substrate; bonding a control unit to the flexible substrate; disposing opposite ends of the flexible substrate to face each other; inserting the control unit and the ends of the flexible substrate into a slit which is longitudinally formed in a drum body; and attaching the flexible substrate to the drum body. The image drum includes a drum body having a slit longitudinally therein; a flexible substrate including electrodes, electrically insulated from each other, disposed parallel to each other, and formed on an outer surface thereof, the flexible substrate attached to and covering the drum body; and a control unit which is inserted into the slit together with opposite ends of an outer surface of the flexible substrate.

  • Publication number: 20070120940
Abstract: An image drum, for selectively adsorbing a toner on the image drum so as to form an image in a printing apparatus, includes a hollow cylindrical drum body and an electrode member. The electrode member includes a flexible substrate adapted to surround an outer circumferential surface of the drum body; a plurality of ring-shaped electrodes formed circumferentially on a top surface of the flexible substrate so as to be electrically insulated from one another; and a control unit disposed on a bottom surface of the flexible substrate for independently applying a voltage to each of the ring-shaped electrodes. The electrode member is disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the drum body.
