  • Patent number: 8451285
Abstract: A method for improving motion blur and contour shadow of a display displaying images having a number of frames includes transforming a second average gray scale into a third average gray scale when a first average gray scale for displaying a first frame is unequal to the second average gray scale for displaying a second frame. A luminance corresponding to the second frame is generated according to the third average gray scale and at least one luminance query table. The third average gray scale is greater than the first average gray scale and the second average gray scale or less than the first average gray scale and the second average gray scale.

  • Publication number: 20110134088
Abstract: A liquid crystal display comprises a data driver, a scanning driver, and a pixel matrix. The pixel matrix is driven by the data driver and scanning driver, and the pixel matrix comprises a plurality of first pixels positioned in non-polarity reversed rows and a plurality of second pixels positioned in polarity reversed rows. The data driver provides a first gray level voltage signal for the first pixels, and provides a second gray level voltage signal for the second pixels. The second gray level voltage signal includes a first sub-gray level voltage and a second sub-gray level voltage which are sequentially outputted to the second pixels. An absolute value of the first sub-gray level voltage is greater than that of the second sub-gray level voltage, and the absolute value of the second sub-gray level voltage is the same with that of the first gray level voltage signal.

  • Publication number: 20070236566
Abstract: An exemplary liquid crystal display (3) includes a matrix-converting circuit (316) and an inverse-matrix-converting circuit (327). The matrix-converting circuit receives an RGB (red green blue) signal, and converts the RGB signal to a YCbCr signal. The inverse-matrix-converting circuit converts the YCbCr signal back to the RGB signal. The liquid crystal display requires only a relatively small amount of bandwidth for signal transmission. A related method of transmitting signals in a liquid crystal display is also provided.
