  • Publication number: 20230072458
Abstract: A hoisting mechanism of a crane comprising at least one rope drum for a hoist rope, at least one hoist motor for driving the rope drum, a gearing coupled between the rope drum and the hoist motor, and having an input gear on the hoist motor side and an output gear on the rope drum side, and a brake for braking the input gear. The gearing has a differential to which a first input gear and a second input gear are arranged, wherein the first input gear and the second input gear are coupled to each other and further coupled to the output gear, wherein a first hoist motor connected to the first input gear, and a second hoist motor connected to the second input gear are arranged, and wherein the first input gear and the second input gear have unequal total gear ratios relative to an output shaft. The invention also relates to a method for operating this hoisting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10529453
Abstract: A novel cancer scoring tool not only generates a score, but it also generates a confidence number. The tool receives a digital image of tissue of a patient. The tool identifies cell objects in the image and from that determines a first score. The magnitude of this first score is indicative of the severity of cancer in the tissue of the patient. The tool uses an overall false negative rate value and an overall false positive rate value to generate a set of second scores. The rate values are determined from training information. From the second scores, the tool determines the confidence number. The confidence number indicates the confidence the tool has in the first score being correct. The first score and an indication of the confidence number and the digital image are all displayed together on the display of the tool.

  • Patent number: 5595047
Abstract: A package for a battery or other article, comprising a sheet of material bent or folded along a plurality of substantially parallel fold lines 21, 22, 25, 26 to define an upwardly extending substantially flat panel region 15, an upper end locating region 11 extending forwardly from the lower extremity of the said panel region, a first limb 3 extending obliquely downwardly and rearwardly from the forward extremity of the end locating region, a second limb 5 extending obliquely forwardly and downwardly and defining with the first limb a V-section channel region, a lower end locating region 13 extending rearwardly from the lower limb, and a rear panel region 17 extending upwardly from the rear extremity of the lower end locating region and secured to the first mentioned panel region 15.

  • Patent number: 5577606
Abstract: A package for spark plugs including a packaging material blank which is folded to form two hollow wall portions which receive opposite ends of the spark plugs. An intermediate section which is intregally connected to the hollow wall portions and a tab if formed onto one of the hollow wall portions, so that the same side of the package material blank always points outwards. A cover or a sleeve is arranged to cover the follow wall portions and the intermediate section as protection against theft. Viewing windows, and tear tabs which are bounded by perforations permit the spark plugs to be checked and removed easily.
