  • Patent number: 8005068
Abstract: The invention relates to a telecommunications system comprising at least a terminal (11) from which a connection can be set up to the Internet (12); and an exchange (14) for routing calls on the basis of information in a register (16). The system further comprises an Internet server (13) comprising means for controlling the installment of the software required in the terminal (11) for making and receiving VoIP calls and the activation of the application required for making and receiving VoIP calls as a response to the request transmitted from the terminal (11); means for changing call forwarding information in the register (16); means for converting the data flow transmitted from the exchange (14) to the terminal (11) into a mode suitable for the terminal (11).

  • Patent number: 7836190
Abstract: The invention is based on the idea of managing multimedia resource reservation by a solution in which, for a first user terminal, a first media terminal is searched and reserved, and a multimedia session is started. A multimedia session request is transmitted from the first user terminal to a second user terminal via an IMS subsystem. A second media terminal is searched and reserved for the second user terminal. The information on the reserved second media terminal is transmitted via the IMS to the first user terminal, which informs the first media terminal of the reserved second media terminal. After that, real-time data traffic can be transmitted via an IP network, e.g., the Internet, between the first media terminal and the second media terminal.

Abstract: The invention is based on the idea of managing multimedia resource reservation by a solution in which, for a first user terminal, a first media terminal is searched and reserved (5-1), and a multimedia session is started (5-2). A multimedia session request is transmitted (5-4, 5-5) from the first user terminal to a second user terminal via an IMS subsystem. A second media terminal is searched and reserved (5-6) for the second user terminal. The information on the reserved second media terminal is transmitted (5-8, 5-9) via the IMS to the first user terminal, which informs (5-10) the first media terminal of the reserved second media terminal. After that, real-time data traffic can be transmitted (5-11, 5-12) via an IP network, e.g. the Internet, between the first media terminal and the second media terminal.

  • Patent number: 7463882
Abstract: A method for setting up redirection of contacts coming to a terminal (A) to at least one other communication system (A?), which is advantageously located outside the mobile communication network so that a proposal of and address of a other communication system (A?) is sent by utilizing the data transmission connection set up between the terminal (A) and the first communication system (S) to the terminal (A), whose acceptance of the proposal is followed by the activation of the redirection.
