  • Publication number: 20090021487
Abstract: The invention discloses a touch panel capable of identifying fingerprints. The touch panel includes a touch layer and a fingerprint sensing layer. The touch layer is used for sensing a specific location touched by a finger. The fingerprint sensing layer is disposed under the touch layer and includes a storage unit, multiple receiving modules, multiple transmitting modules, and a control module. The storage unit stores a first fingerprint data corresponding to the finger. Each receiving module respectively corresponds to one of the transmission modules. According to the specific location, one of the transmission modules transmits a signal, and the signal is then reflected by the finger to the corresponding receiving module. The control module converts the signal received by the receiving module into a second fingerprint data and then determines whether the second fingerprint data conforms to the first fingerprint data.

  • Publication number: 20090003273
Abstract: The invention provides a communication apparatus switching method. At first, the method of the invention measures at least one environmental parameter relative to a neighboring region of a mobile communication apparatus and then determines whether the mobile communication apparatus is indoors, based on the at least one environmental parameter. If YES, the following steps are executed. Firstly, the method establishes a wireless communication link between the mobile communication apparatus and an agent communication apparatus based on a wireless communication protocol. Then, the method sends a piece of user information to the agent communication apparatus. Afterward, the method terminates a first radio telecommunication link between the mobile communication apparatus and the base station. Finally, the method establishes a second radio telecommunication link between the agent communication apparatus and the base station based on a radio telecommunication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20080287108
Abstract: The invention provides a method for guiding a mobile communication device in a wireless communication network. At first, the method according to the invention determines a plurality of referenced positions covered in the wireless communication network. Afterward, the method obtains a plurality of communication quality parameters which each corresponds to one of the plurality of referenced positions. Next, the method transmits the plurality of referenced positions and the plurality of communication quality parameters to the mobile communication device and receives a target position from the mobile communication device. Then, the method determines a current position relative to the mobile communication device. Finally, according to the target position and the current position, the method generates a guiding information and transmits the guiding information to the mobile communication device.

  • Publication number: 20080280629
Abstract: The invention provides a positioning system of positioning a wireless communication apparatus. The positioning system transmits and receives positioning signals which have different frequency bands and generates corresponding positioning values according to the positioning signals. The positioning system then judges and selects positioning values which have less error from the generated positioning values, and calculates an average value of the selected positioning values. Therefore, positioning of the wireless communication apparatus will be more precise. Furthermore, if the positioning system is implemented in a radio-wave-based wireless communication environment, the N positioning signals can be polarized in a linear polarization way, a left-handed circular polarization way or a right-handed circular polarization way, so as to reduce the environmental impact to enhance precision of the positioning.

  • Publication number: 20080227470
Abstract: The invention discloses a wireless communication system including first mobile devices, a second mobile device, and a system end. The system end cooperates with the second device to determine a coordinate of each of the first mobile devices. When each of the first mobile devices receives a signal from the system end, each of the first mobile devices can detect its corresponding received signal strength. The system end or the second mobile device is capable of generating a received signal strength distribution map according to the coordinates and the strengths of the received signals.

  • Publication number: 20080205335
Abstract: A data transmitting method for wireless communication system applied in a transmitting device for transmitting a number of data packets to a receiving device is provided. Firstly, n data packets are transmitted to the receiving device during the first time period, wherein n is a nature number. Next, the first accumulated number is recorded, wherein the first accumulated number denotes the times of resending the n data packets during the first time period. Then, determine that whether the first accumulated number exceeds a predetermined value or not. If the first accumulated number exceeds the predetermined value, then other communication methods are adopted and the method carries on transmitting the remaining data packets; if the first accumulated number does not exceed the predetermined value, the first accumulated number is cleared, and the method carries on transmitting the remaining data packets to the receiving device.
